La Quinta Inn & Suites by Wyndham Sawgrass

You can tell that it is a really old place and isn’t maintained very well. It’s in need of a renovation and some lessons on cleanliness.

Complimentary breakfast was adequate, staff were helpful and kind, the rooms are cozy. TV is a bit outdated, and the microwave was unplugged and we had to unplug something else to use it.

Very old and outdated hotel, not well maintained. Staff was helpful and friendly.

It’s old, but it was in good shape for its age. The bathroom ceiling had black mold that was clearly painted over. So that was a little gross. But in general, it was clean enough and good value.

This is an older hotel and it has carpeting throughout. As cleaning carpet is a huge job, with letting it dry, etc. it is probably not done often. The carpet in the hallways had stains and areas where something spilled. It smelled dingy. The room had carpeting as well, which is where you have bare feet so not optimal. When I went to use the microwave, I found it wasn't plugged in and to do so meant pulling the 2 foot cord, an extra 3 inches to reach the plug which was behind the TV/dresser and required a bit of stretching to make it reach into an extension plug. The mini fridge seemed good, until morning when all my food was completely frozen including an orange, which looked like a hard orange softball! Good if you want your food frozen, bad if not. The AC was nice and cold, so that was good. I was on the fourth floor so no noise from above, but my room had an adjoining door, and my neighbors were so loud I could hear conversations until past 11:00 pm. The staff was very nice, but this hotel could definitely use an upgrade. Removing the carpet would be first on my list, it was gross.

Fair place to stay. Like all La Quintas is old and needs to be remodeled. But it does the trick for one night stay.

Place is dirty with a lot humidity on the rooms!! Bathroom is terrible all the furniture is old not good recommend

Location, staff friendly and helpful, nice size comfortable room. It is a bit worn and somewhat outdated but ok. It’s probably due for a remodeling.

Easy to adjust room temp. I like it cold. No outlet or way to charge phone near the bed.

It a very good place to stay, love it , will stay again.

Affordable accommodation, do not expect luxury

Proximity to Sawgrass and price. Outdated. Smelly. Musty. Only one elevator for 4 floors.

Also, I would avoid doing the advanced check-in via the text link they send. I got charged twice for my visit, even though it was already paid for with Booking... This reason alone caused me to drop the score to 1... By 2026, there should be no reason someone gets charged twice for a room, yet they openly welcome this potential double payment glitch with an advanced check-in text message? I called to fix it, but it seems they have not removed the charge since. I'm ready to file a dispute.

The location and the staff Bed was not comfortable, terrible sewage smell in the room, and soliciting guest harassment.
