Windmill Suites Surprise - Phoenix, an Ascend Collection Hotel

We stayed here a week and absolutely loved this hotel for so many reasons. But for me it was the bed, it was amazing! My adult sons loved the pool and the convenience to walk to so many places. There’s an excellent urge t care right down the block I had to use that I highly recommend. Breakfast was great and varied daily with a large variety of a selection. Great hotel and the staff was amazing on top of all of it! Highly recommend.

The stuff was very friendly and accommodating. The rooms look like they had been renovated.

The air vents in our room were caked with yuck. The pillows on the bed were a smaller version of the square European style. The filling inside was broken down. We did not get a good night's sleep.

Good spread of breakfast. Clean. Nice. By lots of shopping and places to eat. My only issue was my mother in law needed a handicap room that I originally booked and we didn’t get that so bathing her was a challenge and no high toilet for her to use was hard for her to get low without assistance

Everything was wonderful

The room was immaculate and comfortable. The bed was cozy and relaxing. The pool was green and gross which was a let down as we were looking forward to an evening swim and had to pass on the green water. Thought about breaking out my fishing gear and fishing in the pool it was so green. Breakfast was great, staff was professional and we will stay there again.

Bedbugs found on mattress, asked for a full refund and manager was rude, ignoring my complaint with photos to prove my case. Worst experience dealing with issue. Didn't stay, and still got charged! Manager didn't care about anything, and was disrespectful!!!

The beds were comfy, sheets appeared clean. The front desk folks were welcoming. It was an ok value on fairly short notice. This wasn't the worst hotel I've stayed in but certainly wasn't the best, or in that range. You know that feeling of seeing someone's ultra-filtered profile picture but seeing a decades older, rougher for wear version of them in real life? That's what this hotel was like. Surface level, it looked like the photos. But in person, the whole place had a musky smell. The carpet was filthy. The paint and lighting choices in the halls made it feel sad. There was no ice maching on our floor. In my room, there was someone else's hair in the shower and trash on the floor by the bed. The toilet didn't want to flush. I always pull back the sheets to check for bedbugs and found someone's hair under the mattress protector. The mattress itself on the other bed was stained. The door handle was about to fall off. Cigarette butts littered the property. Ultimately, it was somewhere for us to lay our heads for the night, but I wouldn't go back.

This was a great place to stay. Great area, convenient location, nice facility. We will stay here again.
