Holiday Inn Express Sweetwater by IHG

Shredded towels, broken ac, broken tile, broken bed, skimpy breakfast. Avoid

I have stayed at many holiday inns and this is the worse one I have ever stayed in.

It’s older hotel, so definitely needs updating. My bed and pillows were very comfortable. I enjoyed the view because I stayed on the 3rd floor. Room 316 could definitely use another ac, because the room is very large and my room was cool, not cold. The bathroom sink stopper was broken, so I couldn’t let the water out after shaving my face. Nice kitchenette with full size refrigerator.

Rooms were clean but dated.

The hotel felt dated. There were some patched holes in the wall from the door handle. The pool was out of order for repairs. The only working ice machine was on the first floor. I will give the staff 5 stars, They were very friendly and the lady who made the cookies and water option at the reception desk went above and beyond.

Very worn out all over. Bath wall damage & rust. Bed worn, sagging. Missing soap and shampoo in shower. Very frustrating when you get wet only to realize the bottles are empty. Ice machines were all out of order. Bkfst missing potato’s and cinnamon buns.

Staff was amazing Wet floors from the air conditioner

Halls and elevators were filthy. Holes in the drywall in the exercise room. Tiles were busted in the bathroom to the point they could not be safely walked on while barefoot.

Room was clean and stag was friendly. However, the list of things not so good is long. Safety lock on door broken, no towels in room when check-in at 8:00 pm. All furniture and fixtures old and worn. ALL lampshades were not attached but resting on the bulbs. Phone to contact front desk broken. There was a non-functioning outer front door with a shattered pane of glass and unfortunately more things wrong. I do not recommend.

While the staff was helpful and polite, the rest of our stay was rather lacking. The pool was out of order. The breakfast was struggling due to broken burners. It was a loud hotel. The downstairs seemed to be under construction. Tesla chargers worked great and the coffee was good. Could not recommend this hotel in good conscience.

Pool was closed, place has been run down. Under new ownership, started remodeling. Short staffed.

We visited your location in Sweetwater, TX for just one night and hoped everything would be fine but instead the he front doors weren't fully functional. The floor in the elevator was broken. The toilet seat was wobbly and the water pressure was horrible. The receipts and keycard from We didn't complain because it was just

Terrible, A/C didnt work in room switched room but was not much better. Ice machines broke except 1st floor and breakfast was burnt!!!!

Hotel is old with no upkeep. Bathroom floor tile was loose and cabinet and tub are worn.

We checked out of the hotel within 10 minutes after checking in because they were unable to accommodate connecting rooms and the reasons listed above. Customer service and management were unhelpful and ultimately denied any refund. We are extremely disappointed in Holiday Inn Express.

Wallpaper falling off at front desk, pool closed, back door to property broke, property unkept, bathroom counter broke, toothpaste on front of counter and was there from arrival until I checked out. I hope they were remodeling paint on carpet in hallway and plaster on walls. I was here for a week and never saw progress.

AC did. It keep room cool, bar soap from previous guest still in the shower. Someone else attending the event who was also staying there had two roaches in their bathroom as did someone else in their party. I did not see any in my room.

The problem I had with the whole experience was that I had requested 2 rooms for 2 days and when we arrived found out I only had 2 rooms for 1 day. The hotel was very nice in trying to accommodate us but it was stressful when we were advised that we only had rooms for 1 night. I'm not sure I will use Expedia's service again.
