Ranch House Motel

Room had stale smoke smell, they advertise their breakfast but told us we couldn’t get it to go. Needs general updating and cleaning. Fine for a night. Did take cash which is always nice.

Could not stay after driving all day

Booked a couple months before I was doing my stay and then when I got there after I stayed the first day I got online and saw that the price listed online and that there were four available was half the price and it's already paid so I asked if I could check out and recheck you know keep the same room absolutely not you'd have to check with the owner. Where's the owner while he's in Dallas what's his phone number? Can't give it out needless to say I checked out someone else elsewhere. have a nice day.

Resolved an issue and got my business back

However, I do believe in second chances will be staying for one day a week later. I really would like to give this property a better review and retract this one.

No hot water rooms dirty got refund

It wasn't the best but it also wasn't the worst for the amount of money I'd say go for it for a night.

Breakfast was cooked to order and was delicious

I like the older hotels where the sinks ( there was two in my room) are separated from the bath and toilet. My shower was just like i like it, plenty of hot water with wonderful water pressure. I would stay her again if and when I'm traveling through this area of Texas. The Breakfast was was a big surprise, with Bacon and made from scratch biscuits!

Stay away from this place; it is a dump! The front desk staff was adequate. Upon entering our room, we found the bed pillows were stacked up in a pile on the edge of the bed and someone had laid on them...YUCK! I reported this to the Front Desk along with the fact there was trash in the waste basket and another door key on the table. She said she would notify "housekeeping". A few minutes later she called to say we could come down to the front desk to get clean pillowcases. There is black mold around the tub, the flooring is buckled/lifting, there is some sort of metal vent cover on the bathroom window ledge that is literally covered with dirt and dead bugs. The windows look as if they have never been washed. And don't get me started describing the furniture ...and the barking dog😒. The dresser and table were old, shabby and the varnish was peeling. The one chair had its stuffing coming out of it through the huge rip in the fabric covering. The are cigarette butts and trash all over the parking area that have been there for a long time. We erred on the side of caution and decided NOT TO EAT their breakfast. We're going to notify the Texas health department about this place, especially the black mold. Does anyone from Expedia actually go to the places you sell and review them?

Free breakfast was excellent. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Room was very spacious and recently painted with new flooring.

Front desk in the morning shift,older woman with glasses,cause use some classes on how not to be rude amd disrespectful towards patrons..... very rude. I won't return cause of her disrespectful tone and words

It took over 30 minutes to check in and then the room had huge holes in the ceiling and was quite dirty. I asked for another room and it was the same. Thankfully they gave me a refund so I could take my family across the road to another hotel.

This is an older motel. I have stayed here several times since Sweetwater is about as far I can drive in a day. This time I had a very large room. Even though it is right next to the highway I didn't notice traffic noise.. The breakfast is freshly made in a restaurant setting. The staff is helpful. And it is not expensive given prices these days.

Charmingly dated. First room was dirty and infested. Second room better. Worn out throughout. Upholstery stained.
