All continental breakfast are terrible

Everything was pretty good

First off, the pictures on the website are deceiving. The hotel is very rundown and sketchy. There was garbage everywhere outside. This is a one story building. You have to drive around and hopefully find the entrance to your room. The exterior doors to the hallway where we eventually found our room were left unlocked at night. I did not feel safe there. We mentioned it when we checked out early the next morning and the manager on duty said they are locked. My husband had to prove him wrong. He also mentioned they do not allow any resident within a 50 mile radius to book a room more reason why the exterior doors should be locked. The rooms were dingy and old. The carpet and drapes need to be replaced due to age and smell. If we hadn’t already been driving for seven hours, we would’ve seek other alternatives, but there was no refund on a pre-booked $170 a night stay. Considering what the manager told us about the locals and the condition of this hotel he said the hotel next to him was in worse shape. I would push on the Abilene. We typically would not give a bad review unless we feel like people should be warned. That price includes breakfast however we did not stay for breakfast. If they don’t care what your eyes can see in the room God only knows what’s going on in the kitchen. On a positive note skeets Grill around the corner is a great place to eat.

I was very impressed with the hospitality this location gave my wife and I. Very clean and much more then expected. Of course my main thing was the morning breakfast, which was very delicious and the cleanliness all around was five star. For the rate we paid, we got more then expected. Will definitely stay again. Thank you Sweetwater.

Non smoking room smelled of old smoke. Breakfast was decent, but the staff started picking food up before time(9:00) People were still coming in to eat.

If I were alone I might feel a little unsafe due to the condition of the bldg and obvious older looking vehicles and construction workers

The hotel itself is not one I will recommend. 1. The AC was extremely noisy even I set the fan to low. We had to turn up TV speakers volume to watch TV. During the bedtime I was not able to sleep without ear plugs. I only stayed for two nights. I would ask for room change if I had to stay longer. 2. The commode is ridiculously small. It is like a baby commode. I don't know how any men can sit there without issue. On the positive side the bathroom is spacious. 3. The breakfast was below average. 4. The top shelf of the towels cabinet was full of dust. So was the hanger's bar in the closet.

Location Needs updating as it seems to be falling apart and not being kept up

Comfortable room traveled in Texas during August room was very cool.

The pool could have been working! I wouldn't have book this hotel if I knew the pool was not operational.

Bed is a lil hard for a women’s body. Not enough grassy area for a pet friendly property

The room was nice and clean, but the door handle on the breezeway was broken there by letting Non-guest enter the building. The breakfast was plentiful and had a good variety of food. Unfortunately, both my husband and I became sick from the food.

The room was really clean. The bathroom was cleaner than others I’ve been lately. But as we opened the door to the room we were meet with a moldy tennis shoe Oder!

Had a nice outdoor pool. It was pricey considering it was an old motel. I guess since it’s a small town.

Excellent breakfast! Front desk gentleman was very friendly and helpful.

Overall, I was disappointed with my stay. The property is old and in poor condition, with spider webs throughout the hallways and even in the room. There were also moths and grasshoppers inside the hotel, which made the property feel poorly maintained. Housekeeping was very minimal and didn’t leave the room feeling clean. I expected a much better experience.
