Holiday Inn Express & Suites Tacoma by IHG

Well, it’s a Holiday Inn Express, and we stay there because we know what to expect. We weren’t disappointed at this one. The room was clean and spacious and the breakfast was as good as any I’ve been to. Staff were friendly and helpful and the price was good. I’d stay there again!

This hotel was very nice. We found the bed to be comfortable, the room was spacious, and the breakfast was very good. The building appeared clean and relaxing. We would recommend this hotel to anyone traveling in the Tacoma area.

Room was clean, bed comfortable, and overall good no frills hotel stay. Front desk staff were all very pleasant. Neighborhood is a bit sketchy, definitely don't leave any valuables in your vehicle if parking overnight.

Overall, it was a good experience but won't be back.

The photos are deceiving. They post photos of their property across the street. Sad to see a good brand like Holiday Inn fall due to poor staff. Your brand is only as good as the people you employ. Our room was not sufficiently cleaned. We were there for 5 days and only received housekeeping service once. We had to ask someone to come clean the bathroom and restock towels. Public areas were dirty. And trash cans outside constantly overflowing because no other trash cans in public areas.

Second stay here and the same results. Outstanding customer service throughout the whole staff and departments. Clean rooms and felt safe through the stay. Will miss this property till next year during our summer travel lacrosse team tournaments.

Clean room and friendly staff. They did hold another charge on my card even though I had already paid for the room via this website. Overall good experience. The hotel location however is a little bit ghetto. So don't leave anything in your car.

Breakfast was good.

The area we stayed smelled like the pool. The hotel was good, clean, staff at check in were short. The biggest issue was the “loud” firework sounds outside all night. Made sleeping difficult. The area around the hotel was a little rough n down.

The property is situated in one of the of the worst and dangerous neighborhoods. There were few amenities… no glasses were provided, water dispenser in the gym was broken. There were additional charges that were made on the cc which had to be disputed to be removed during checkout. One of the most horrible experiences…..we even heard gun shots outside in the middle of the night

Room smelt awful and the lady at the front desk who’s heavier set was extremely rude.

Everything was good. Parking lot was a little bit crowded. No complaints.

Hadessa at the front counter was very welcoming and made a great first impression. The room and amenities were all clean, and the variety at the free breakfast was great. Solid experience

Exceptional

Our toilet wouldnt flush and it over flowed. Took the lady a long time and 2 reqest for a plunger and more towels. My husbad had to turn off the water to the toilet and she held out door open and watched as my husband had to work on their toilet. We hadnt been in the room more than 20mins. Very unprofessional. Also asked if she could take all the wet toilet water towles. She said place them outside out door and she would come back by and pick up. Guess what was still there in the morning... the soaking toilet water towels. Not to mention when my husband opened the toilet top with was full of mold. Never once did she apologize or offer a different room or anything. By fast one of the worst experiences ive EVER had with a hotel.
