Holiday Inn Express & Suites Tacoma by IHG

The area we stayed smelled like the pool. The hotel was good, clean, staff at check in were short. The biggest issue was the “loud” firework sounds outside all night. Made sleeping difficult. The area around the hotel was a little rough n down.

The property is situated in one of the of the worst and dangerous neighborhoods. There were few amenities… no glasses were provided, water dispenser in the gym was broken. There were additional charges that were made on the cc which had to be disputed to be removed during checkout. One of the most horrible experiences…..we even heard gun shots outside in the middle of the night

Room smelt awful and the lady at the front desk who’s heavier set was extremely rude.

Everything was good. Parking lot was a little bit crowded. No complaints.

Hadessa at the front counter was very welcoming and made a great first impression. The room and amenities were all clean, and the variety at the free breakfast was great. Solid experience

not in best area but convenient area next to pawn shop and sex shop but there were many hotel chains on the street

Our toilet wouldnt flush and it over flowed. Took the lady a long time and 2 reqest for a plunger and more towels. My husbad had to turn off the water to the toilet and she held out door open and watched as my husband had to work on their toilet. We hadnt been in the room more than 20mins. Very unprofessional. Also asked if she could take all the wet toilet water towles. She said place them outside out door and she would come back by and pick up. Guess what was still there in the morning... the soaking toilet water towels. Not to mention when my husband opened the toilet top with was full of mold. Never once did she apologize or offer a different room or anything. By fast one of the worst experiences ive EVER had with a hotel.

Easy check in and our room was clean. The building itself is pretty run down and in disrepair. The area itself too is questionable.

Staff were friendly. Rooms are clean, complimentary breakfast and a pool to relax in

The receptionist was extremely friendly and helpful and that coffee machine, WOW! That coffee machine was simply amazing! 24 / 7 fresh ground coffee, fresh brewed-WOW… and no extra charge!!! Loved it! I wish I could have stayed longer!

Price was too high for this average marginal place

Reasonable breakfast selection including hot items and the location was ideal for using the Interstate 5. Good selection of nearby restaurants. The pool was out of action although we were no planning on using it as we were out all day when we stayed there.

Clean room. The breakfast was. The staff was great.

Hotel is super clean, staff was very friendly, breakfast buffet had plenty of options to choose from. Kids loved the in door pool. The room was clean and comfortable.
