Wyndham Garden Tallahassee Capitol

The staff was horrible rude and argumentative. Location was under renovations there was no tv in my room and I was staying for 3 nights. There was a sign that said WiFi and tv issues in all rooms. When I asked about the tv issue the front desk lied to me telling me it worked. After I got to my room it didn’t work and when I complained that the tv is not working they told me I could leave. After arguing with them for 10 minutes as I was staying for 3 nights and wanted my tv they finally tried to fix the problem but every day the maintenance man had to reprogram the tv to the wifi. I had to chase him down to get assistance as the place was in complete disarray. Would never stay here again. It was family weekend for FSU and it was sold out seems that every time I went to the front desk there was 2 to 3 families in line to complain about 1 issue or another. The renovations were horrible a barn door for the bathroom over a metal frame . Comical! If there was any other places that had availability I would have left when I pulled up. Breakfast was disgusting do not pay for it !!!!!! I booked this hotel 8 months in advance never notified that I would be waking up to drills in the hallway at 8am. Construction all day everyday and worst part staff was not apologetic.

Wyndham gave away our room! So we showed up after confirming and checking in on line both via email and text, but when we arrived that evening they had “no more rooms.” There were 20+ people also there to check in with reservations and had their rooms given away. They offered no help at all. I reached out to Wyndham multiple times through their website and they never responded at all. So unacceptable!

The conditions of the hotel was poor and not very clean. The service was also pretty bad and with an attitude. Not what I expected from a Wyndham.

For starters, there was no working tvs. The king bed came with 2 undersized pillows and wouldn't provide with extra pillows when asked! A/C was consistently hot and cold. All the same issues as our last stay a year ago. Thought some issues would be addressed by now. We will no longer be staying at this hotel.

The Staff worked super hard with great interactions on a busy Friday Checkin on football weekend. The Building is undergoing renovations. The room was lacking basics like no safe, no hair dryer, no towel bars or hooks to hang towel and no daily room cleaning(what do i do with a wet towel?) Coffee maker had a short cord but no availble plug by tv/dresser so I had to move to night stand nightlly. They were switching wifi...so phones connected but TV never worked.

Room was clean. Walls so thin, we couldn't sleep because of housekeeping talking non stop in the hallways from early morning hours. Room overlooking the main street with such loud traffic - we couldn't sleep all night. Every single family we talked to said they'd never book this hotel again. Breakfast - just skip. Lobby was absolute chaos and staff wasn't very pleasant - although I also understand customers were frustrated. On a regular non-chaotic morning, staff was nice so I wanted to add that.

It was dirty and all the metal fixtures were rusted in bathroom and closets.

Nothing!!! The property did not provide what was advertised in the listing. There was no cable TV or internet, and the room was very dirty when we arrived. We tried to address these issues with the staff, but unfortunately, they were not helpful. We were told that nothing could be done and that, if we were unhappy, we could look for another place to stay because there was high demand from other guests looking for accommodations. This was extremely disappointing and unprofessional. We booked this property based on the amenities and conditions described in the listing, and what we received was very different from what was advertised. The way our concerns were handled made the experience even worse.

Nothing was clean. We had to ask three times over two days for more pillows and towels and after the third ask on the second day got them but with an attitude from the employee. Everything felt damp. There were cockroaches in the rooms. Never will stay there again

Nothing Terrible service all around. We booked our reservation a year ago and upon arrival from an out of state flight, we were told no rooms were available due to renovations. Additionally, we were made to stand outside the hotel instead of waiting 5 minutes for our daughter to arrive to pick us up and try to make reservations elsewhere during parents weekend in Tallahassee. No notice was given to us about renovations prior to showing up at the hotel. Your hotel at Capitol Hill is awful and you need to update your system to let people know well in advance. Our hotel that we had to find due to your lack of a room was double the amount.

There was mold all over the bathroom. Ceiling looked like it would fall in. No hot water. Breakfast not ready in time. The restaurant and bar are closed. We left after 1 night, they charged us for 2 nights and they are still avoiding our calls. Don’t stay here.

Breakfast The room had mold on the floorboard of the furniture. It smelled like mold when you walked in there was no cable. The cleaning staff was across from our room and were gossiping a large portion of their time together.

Location was great for FSU activities; pool was great; breakfast was hot and delicious; great coffee! Microwave not in the room but easily accessible in the lobby market shop which had snacks and drinks. Wifi was weak; very few outlets and the fridge power was attached to the main light switch. I shut off the fridge all night because of this. Add a sign by the wall switch to fix this. Fitness center bike has been broken for at least one year.

Awful customer service, double charged for the room. No telephone in the room at all. The breakfast wasn’t really for the guests, the staff was eating it. The rooms were awful, the customer service was awful, all you could smell INSIDE the hotel was chlorine.

Honestly the only things good about the room was that is was not filthy and the air conditioner worked. It was on the first floor facing a street which did not make me feel safe. First, I was greeted with a note on the desk that said since we are in the middle of renovating the hotel, wi-fi and tv service could not be expected in every room. I point blank asked if my room would have wi-fi and the attendant assured me it would. Later, when I told him that my room did have wifi, the same attendant said he would get someone to fix it. That never happened. The second thing that greeted me was the fact that I had to put down a 150 deposit for room. When I asked why, the attendant just pointed a sign that gave vague reasons why you would not get your money back. The hotel deducted the money from my card and I found out later that I would not even know if they had taken the money out for good for 3 to 5 business days. I went to the room down a disgustingly dirty and stain carpeted hallway. The room itself was ok for minimal standards. There was chewed gum on the bed lights, there was not any hot water only slightly warm. I thought about moving the first day. However I realized it was a football weekend and could not find an available room under $300 a night. So , I knew I would have to suffer through it. Workers were all over the hotel lifting ceiling tiles in the lobby, cutting and sawing throughout day and some part of the night ,talking in groups in the middle of the stairs, one man was screaming orders to house keepers. Entrance of hotel was blocked several times by materials being loaded and unloaded. I concluded that the construction crew were actually staying in the rooms among the guests. One night an alarm went off in the room next door at 3AM and did not stop until 4:30. There was no advance warning about the renovations and that the advertised services would not be available. Honestly, this hotel should have been shut down to renovate and open up afterwards. The management and owners should be ashamed at the lack of quality and professionalism of this property.

Run. Don’t walk. RUN!! Ghetto is a compliment. Do not stay here. Sleep in your car if you must.

Nothing. Customer service was terrible. Visible mold. Room # was written on wall with a pen. Walls were damaged. The room lock didn’t work. We stayed the first night out of desperation. We left and have been disputing the charge ever since.

The manager,, was very rude and unprofessional. While I was calmly and professionally explaining the issues I experienced with the room, she walked away from me while I was still speaking. I had taken several photos documenting the conditions
