Super 8 by Wyndham Texas City/Galveston Area

I like the location The daytime staff was not knowledgeable and didn't try to help. The room 133 air conditioner didn't work. Room 134saw a roach. Rooms had a stale mildew smell. House keeping was rude.

Our TV was broken, no one came to fix it like they said they would. The room was EXTREMELY damp. I don't know why. But even the toilet paper was damp.

The property location was good because it was in close proximity to stores gas stations and restaurants. However, the room to me was misrepresented by the pictures and the amenities that were shown. Kind of cramped and bad for lighting inside the room no lamps available just a couple light switches. The USB charging port did not work. I wanted the stations. It was filthy under the bed very unclean in the room to me had a dirty feeling I expressed his concern to the staff on duty the next day. Also, the preparations for the breakfast area were slow because they were running out of things and you had to wait in line for them to replenish the food station. It doesn’t seem like they were prepared to handle the traffic that was coming through. People had to wait on their preparing food for breakfast. Very dissatisfied though with the presentation on your end.

Older hotel however they have updated the rooms, staff were amazing.

Over night staff was missing went multiple times to recovery lost key. Seemed to be hiding out. Wouldn’t answer front desk phone either. All while I was locked out my room with my kids under the age of 10.

They had bugs the room had mold all over the ceiling it smelled like someone had smoked weed in the room. Literally disgusting

Free breakfast, nice pool Dirty, the room smelled, the TV didn't work. Should've paid $50 less than what i did tbh

Had sewer backing up in sink air-conditioned had a very bad smell and dirty room just felt dirty

Place was clean and recently updated. Bed was extremely comfortable, I ordered online to have exact pillows delivered to our house. Breakfast eggs were runny and sausages were under cooked, went to Denny’s and will factor in the additional cost, $20+, next trip and look to other brands with full breakfast.

Looks ran down. Needs updating.

The staff was amazing! The littles ones really enjoyed the pool! My TV didn't work and we asked for it to be fixed, I had to catch the front lobby guy outside and ask ask him to come to the room and look at it, he tried for 5 minutes and then gave up. So we had to watch TV on our devices. Multiple Bedding and towels had stains, I saw a small roach in the bathroom ask to change rooms and decided to just keep my original room because the other room had more roaches and small bugs. The room smelled like the filter in the AC needed to be changed.

Affordable

The breakfast was comically awful. There was really no place to sit unless you were the first or second group of people that showed up. I booked this hotel in part for the included breakfast, but it was such a disappointment that I would not return. Included breakfast was worthless.

Hotel won’t refund me, we had to cancel and leave !
