Holiday Inn Express Toledo North by IHG

Last time we were there last year they were remodeling so we understood the chaos. We decided to give them another try and we were disappointed. The building was very warm as if the AC units were not working in the main area, hallways and elevator. Our room was clean, but the AC was not working correctly and again, could not keep up with the warmer temps. The pancake machine was down at breakfast (2 disappointed kids) and the coffee was okay. If you are just there for a night, it’s okay, but we were there for 3 so I don’t think we would come again.

Nice spot for an overnight. Rooms are big and updated. Clean and comfortable inside. Missed breakfast, but they have coffee whenever you need!

Good location. Used to drive into Detroit which was an hour away. Visited the local beach on Lake Erie and Botanical Gardens.

Perfect rooms and good breakfast

The breakfast and pool were great. Unfortunately, our AC unit smelled like old dirty socks and we couldn't really turn it off in the middle of a heatwave. The lobby/breakfast area does not have AC. We arrived on Friday afternoon and despite the hotel being virtually empty, we were not able to check in 45 minutes early. The front desk staff said there were no rooms available and due to the heatwave and the lobby being so hot, we couldn't wait inside the hotel.

Staff was very friendly and helpful. Our room was very clean.

everything was great! the pool was down so i was sad about that but it’s okay. i had a hard time figuring out how to turn on the outlets in the bedroom area but other than that no complaints

The amenities were wonderful but we asked 3 different staff members how to turn the lights off in the room and noone knew. So we had to sleep 3 nights with the lights on, that was extremely inconvenient.

This stay was very comfortable. The room was clean and exactly as I requested with grab bars in the shower and close to the elevator. The staff were friendly and helpful. The free parking was convenient and the free breakfast was very good with plenty of choices. The dining area could’ve had a little more attention during busy breakfast. The tables were not wiped down or the floor swept in between different guests seated there. Everything else was very clean.

Awfully convenient as several fast food options and gas stations were nearby. Nice breakfast and the room was very clean. Noise level was very high (Frequent opening and closing of side entry door. Next visit, I’ll request a different room.)

Holiday Inn Express is my favorite place to stay, wherever I go, and I've yet to find an exception. The Toledo staff was so friendly and helpful. The room was comfy and clean, and they have an indoor pool!

Location. Within 15 minutes of everywhere we were going. Needs for seating for breakfast

Nothing! From the moment my 8yr old son and I walked in the hotel it was uncomfortable. It was clear from the moment I walked in, I wasn’t welcome. The manager placed me in the first room after the service desk, told me I could only have the people who are on the documents there. I was honestly okay with it. I left then arrived back after an hour of running around at the grocery store. Got dressed for us to get in the pool when no more than an hour of being in the pool the manager came in accusing us of using the emergency phone when we were in the pool nowhere near the phone. Remind you it’s 2 children 2 Adults in the pool. Just us and no one else. We had people watching us from the windows while swimming and as we were entering my room we had 4 people watching us visibly through our window. They made the people who were looking through our bedroom window apologize then closed the pool stating they had to SANITIZE THE POOL! When asked why he had stated “The manager said to shut the pool down for it to be sanitized immediately and it wouldn’t be available for the rest of the night. It was 7PM at the time I was told this. The pool didn’t close until 10PM at night. The sol reason I booked the hotel was for my son birthday and for him to be able to swim. This situation completely ruined my son 8th birthday. No apology was issued! I was told my money will be back on my card tomorrow because I had no choice but to leave after the back to back events. My son cried so bad. It completely crushed me!

Location It’s was hot in the hall ways.Nobody took the trash or clean our room nor leave fresh towels.Then the pool didn’t work since we checked in on Tuesday till Thursday

Did not like: No fan in the bathroom. No small dining table w/chairs in a room that could easily accommodated one
