Cleanly room, nice showers. A/C wasn't the best but it did work.

This has nothing to do with the hotel itself but more to do with using a 3rd party app and receiving possibly the least desired room in the hotel. I understand that most hotels will give priority to those who book through their website, and that lower rate guests will not get the premium rooms unless they upgrade or whatever. The front desk clerk was very polite and offered suggestions for restaurants that weren't fast food. The room was clean and comfortable, aside from a bit of tissue left in the toilet ( a quick flush remedied the situation, not an issue at all). But at 5 or so in the morning I quickly realized why it pays to upgrade or book through the hotel. The hotel didn't seem too full, but somehow I managed to wrangle the room with the absolute best acoustical advantage for the non-stop barrage of people needing enough ice to start a personal cyrogenic therapy clinic. I honestly don't know how the ice machine kept up with the demand. I did notice upon entering the lobby that the ice machine on the first floor was out of order, so I applaud those getting their steps in to trot down the hall on the 3rd floor to get their fix. I don't know if it was hotel employees getting ice for the breakfast buffet (better than most hotels), or if it was from the construction crews filling up their coolers for the day, but nothing wakes you up and keeps you awake better than the constant and irritating sound of the gathering of free ice.

Average stay

When we arrived to our pre-booked stay we were told they only had 2 rooms left. One had water damage and peeling paint and the other had broken AC. The staff member at the desk was apologetic and friendly and honestly peeling paint is not that big of a deal. Just wanted a place to shower and sleep. The shower drained super slow and the AC in the water-damaged room also did not work. I tried to notify front desk at checkout but no one showed. Kinda rough but could’ve been worse!

Clean rooms and quiet. The parking lot is highly well lit. The lobby and elevator were not kept very clean. Elevator had a "closed" sign posted on the 4th floor having us use the stairs, but come to find out it was was working. Not sure if they missed it, someone was pranking, but a bit unsettling for female traveler to use stairs.

Conveniently located near the freeway for easy off and on access. Decent rates and was completely booked due to a baseball tournament. Room was clean and the air conditioning definitely works. The daily breakfast which is included was very good with a nice selection of standard breakfast foods.

Nice place

We had a rough start, but it was no fault of the hotel’s. It was a great experience!

Fitness room was small but had tall the basics. Coffee wasn't very good.

Nice breakfast

Property was clean and well maintained and convenient location for our trip

Last time we were there last year they were remodeling so we understood the chaos. We decided to give them another try and we were disappointed. The building was very warm as if the AC units were not working in the main area, hallways and elevator. Our room was clean, but the AC was not working correctly and again, could not keep up with the warmer temps. The pancake machine was down at breakfast (2 disappointed kids) and the coffee was okay. If you are just there for a night, it’s okay, but we were there for 3 so I don’t think we would come again.

Nice spot for an overnight. Rooms are big and updated. Clean and comfortable inside. Missed breakfast, but they have coffee whenever you need!

Good location. Used to drive into Detroit which was an hour away. Visited the local beach on Lake Erie and Botanical Gardens.

Perfect rooms and good breakfast

The breakfast and pool were great. Unfortunately, our AC unit smelled like old dirty socks and we couldn't really turn it off in the middle of a heatwave. The lobby/breakfast area does not have AC. We arrived on Friday afternoon and despite the hotel being virtually empty, we were not able to check in 45 minutes early. The front desk staff said there were no rooms available and due to the heatwave and the lobby being so hot, we couldn't wait inside the hotel.

Staff was very friendly and helpful. Our room was very clean.
