Decent accommodations, clean, comfortable bed

The body wash dispenser in the shower did not work. The breakfast room was so overcrowded on our second morning that we just walked away. There is only one coffee machine, and we could not get close to it. This hotel rents to large bus tours that overwhelm the place. We will not stay here again.

This place has cockroaches , it’s an old building , the fitness room has no pull up bars or ventilation.

Some of the gym equipment was hard to turn on.

Our room was clean and the staff were very helpful! The hotel is only a few miles from Montclair University.

I wish can give them zero star it’s so bad hotel experience they put AC 77 thermostat when you ask them hot they said it’s normal and the system locked plus not clean I park my car in parking lots got dirty I never ever recommend this bad hotel don’t waste your time and money please

My particular room which is a king suite, was clean and spacious enough for a solo traveler. But the second floor, breakfast area is going under major renovation and it is filled with lot of broken furniture. Breakfast is not that great as well. It does say hot breakfast with very limited healthy options. No waffle maker and no fresh oatmeal. Lot of sugary,processed and high carb options are available. They do not even have sugar free creamers which was a very big inconvenience if you are not into cane sugar. Overall I felt they are running this place on a very tight budget while overcharging the people who are booking there. Quality is not up to the IHG brand. Holiday inn is way better.

I found a cockroaches in the bathroom

Room was clean enough but beds were great. My main issue is with the hotels location, TV and phone in room. First issue day one: with being right on Route 46 the noise from the highway was awful. I’ll never do that again. Tried to drown the noise out by leaving the TV on but no that didn’t work as the hotel has Dish Network and kept losing signal every few minutes even though the days were clear. Tried to call front desk to let them know about the TV issue but no dial tone. Called front desk from mobile phone and explained issue with TV and they sent someone up to see what’s going on. Said there’s an issue was the connection and remote control but got it to work. After he left TV lost signal again repeatedly. So I just shut it off. Day two. After being out most of the day, went to hotel to wind down and relax, showered and ate dinner (takeout), could not unwind because of the highway noise, tried TV again but no signal again, went to call front desk but remembered no dial tone. Called front desk on mobile phone, was told there’s not much they can do. I asked if they can put me in another room and they asked if I can go to the front desk which I did. They put me in another room on 1st floor. After moving to room and again tried to unwind again and get ready for bed. Turned on TV to drown out the highway noise which is worse on the 1st floor and I had to laugh because again no TV signal. We left the hotel in the morning. Never again!

Ample free parking for guests. Fresh brewed coffee in the lobby and microwave in the lobby. Small store for snacks. Room was very clean, comfortable beds and pillows. Free breakfast of eggs, sausage, bacon bits, juice coffee, tea bagels, breads and mini muffins or Danish pastry. Very close to other stores and eateries. Would definitely stay here again.
