Garner Hotel Totowa by IHG

The floor next to the bed was extra sticky. There was no bathmat provided. And the bath towels were used, folded back up and put away. I cannot be sure if it was the previous guest or the hotel staff. Luckily, I had the hand towel I used to dry myself after my shower to wipe up the floor.

The hotel is kind of old, I saw a bunch of roaches. But overall, the stay was OK. Just a little bit loud with the traffic. But the breakfast is OK.

Couldn't have breakfast because the line was so long. Ate outside of the hotel. Long line at breakfast

The breakfast was not kept up. Served cold oatmeal, sausage, and eggs. Never been to a hotel with locked up utensils.

Nothing about this place was good except the location was close to where our event was. The room did not smell good,the bath was clogged up,on our last day the toilet overflowed the dresser area was full with dust and and all kids of trash,curtains were dirty we were afraid to touch them.We had the first floor and it smelt really bad.This was the wirst place we have ever stayed,the only reason why we choose this place was because we thought it was affiliated with The Hilton hotel that’s what we are use to plus we flew 2 1/2 hrs to get there for a funeral and that made our stay super miserable we stayed away only got dress and slept for probably 4 hrs altogether even though we were so tired.I will never ever stay there again or recommend it to anyone.

The first day there they cleaned our room and I was missing my personal blanket. Went to the front desk and told them. They were very ruid, wouldn't let me talk to a manager. Wouldn't help me find my blanket. They STOLE my blanket and wouldn't even pay for it or say sorry! Very RUID people. Not staying there again.

Parking was a bit difficult. Need more handicap bathrooms.

The two Rooms that were rented were spacious and clean. Bathroom were clean as well. Having a Iron and Iron table available was a plus. Overall, not bad. Staff were supportive and helpful even when we did a late check-in. Would be nice to have one or two slippers provided in each room. The elevators had a funny smell which was a turn off.

I went to the front desk to report the issue. The staff was very helpful and polite, and I appreciated their willingness to assist me. Unfortunately, they did not have another room available to move me to. I understand that things can sometimes be overlooked, but cleanliness and having the proper towels should be basic expectations when checking into a hotel. I hope management addresses these issues so future guests have a better experience.

Only things they need to polish is with the maintenance staff regarding a rusted metal cover where a 💡 is supposed to be working properly. It heavy rained... A LOT! and there were some filtrations spots at the breakfast area by the coffee machine. I requested a roll away bed to be paid as an extra; the agent at front desk was getting me an answer (approval) from the management and here I am; still waiting. Overall, me and my family were comfy and well attended. I definitely will be coming back.
