Holiday Inn Express Portland East - Troutdale by IHG

No apologies were issued. No explanation before we were sent to the room. When called the front desk we were told to wait 5 minutes, someone is working on it. After 20 minutes of not hearing back, I called. No resolution was issued. Next morning I asked to be moved to a new room, which we were. We should have been informed upon check in that there was some mistake with the room selection. It was late at night and we were tired of traveling and having delayed flights.

The hotel location was a little difficult to find. The turn was easy to missed as there was no visible sign.

Room was very quiet, the bed was comfortable and the breakfast was a good selection of mostly healthful options

The staff went out of their way to answer questions and point us in the right direction. The room was a good size with all the things one would need for an overnight stay.

Great location for East Portland. Room was clean and very friendly staff. No coffee in the room, have to go down to the lobby area.

The price was great and the location was decent. The room was large and the beds were fairly comfy. I loved that they provided actual hand soap instead of those bars. They did provide breakfast, which we had the first morning, it was a decent selection, but so cramped and crowded. We opted not to have breakfast there the second morning. It was pretty noisy when people were talking in the halls and the slamming of doors. The breakfast area was so cramped.

Staff was friendly and helpful. Room was spacious like advertised. Breakfast was a plus. Good location, gas stations available, food options close by, some shopping options. The walls were a little thin, could hear noise both inside and outside.

There weren't much vegetarian options for the Breakfast besides bread, cereal and fruits.
