La Posada Lodge & Casitas, an Ascend Collection Hotel

I had dinner and breakfast at La Posada. Both meals were very good. In addition the lounge was quick to provide service and extremely helpful with questions. I was driving a moving truck and thrilled that the restaurant saved me driving around town for meals. It also placed me on the highway I needed for an early start to my long drive. The room while very clean and pretty was showing signs of age.

The rooms were very nice & spacious & very quiet. There was a beautiful view of the landscape outside our balcony. It was very helpful to have the refrigerator & microwave. The hot breakfast that was included was delicious. I would certainly return in the future.

Loved the Caritas. Plenty of room to roam. Very clean and beds were excellent. Lots of room for the dog areas and as a plus the apartment had a nice little patio with small private yard. The restaurant was excellent and staff very friendly. We'll worth the stay. Can't think of a thing to not like.

Beautiful resort like setting. I really enjoyed the pool with my young adult kids. Wonderful staff at the breakfast.

Absolutely loved this place. Not knowing much about Tucson, I was looking for a comfortable, reasonably priced place for a few days. Don’t let the price fool you, this place is AMAZING (and were it in a larger city, it would be at least twice as much). The staff, amazingly friendly and helpful, the grounds so well maintained and just beautiful. The free breakfast, while typical, is above average. The only caveat, is it’s a bit far out of town, but that didn’t bother me in the least. If I ever get back to Tucson, I wouldn’t stay anywhere else….

I would have given this hotel 5 stars if I would have had maid service both days I asked for it. Also, there was something wrong with the elevator that genuinely had me in a panic. The staff however was friendly and the assistant manager did comp us $50 for the lack of maid service when we checked out. Great food, drinks, and a lovely swimming pool with music vibes. Overall our stay was great and I would come back again.

Great location, safe, clean

Absolutely our favorite place in Tucson! The staff is absolutely phenomenal and everyone is so willing and cheerful. Breakfast is great, and we really love the Mexican style rooms!

However, the restaurant & bar were not good at all. Both kitchen & bar order were wrong. No chicken on the taco salad. After 30 minutes of waiting to receive the protein, just gave up. Our mojitos were sent back & fixed due to the soda was flat. Only to be double charged. The bartender did refund the correct price. Overall the pool was amazing. Just go out to eat would be my suggestion.

We had to change rooms at 1045pm because the ac wasn't working. Moved to a new room and that actually worked but sounded like something was trying to come thru the wall. 2. Breakfast food was all cold. Sausage, eggs, French toast, potatoes...all cold. Coffee was warm. Ugh. 3. Went down to pool area to use the jacuzzi to relax my tension and the jacuzzi was cold. NEVER AGAIN. SPEND YOUR MONEY ELSE WHERE. HIGHLY DISAPPOINTED in this property. Very old rooms. Toilets are for people 4ft and shorter.

Hot Water

It was nice to have a balcony and the grounds were beautiful. Breakfast was good and the room was clean. There were big gaps in our front door and you could see daylight so that increased the street noise. The morning we left there was no hot water and the biggest issue is the pillows were half the size they should be and lumpy. I cannot understand who decided those would be proper pillows for guests. That alone would never have me stay there again.

I have stayed at La Posada in the past and had to overnight in Tucson. The last minute summer price was a bargain. A+ hotel at summer prices! The hotel is on Oracle road but well set back so our room had no traffice noise all night. The grounds are emaculate. The breakfast offered a number of hot items. The staff were helpful, smiled and knowledgeable. Again.....A+ experience with nice patio views across a golf coarse and mountains in the distance.

This is such an awesome hidden gem. If you stay go down below the property. There is an old Tucson landmark that has been left abandoned and will soon be lost to developers. Don’t miss your chance to see it and enjoy this beautiful hotel. And surrounding. Of and enchiladas at Amelia’s across the street. I’ve eaten at hundreds of Mexican restaurants. The Oaxaca enchiladas are THE best I’ve ever had.

Bar/restaurant onsite. Bar closed at 8pm, says pool area renovation but looks same as last time I was there, NO WAFFLE MAKER. Lived the waffles last time I was there. It even says waffles on the website & we’re not offered for breakfast. VERY disappointed!
