Clean, quiet room. Staff was quite understanding and helpful regarding my disabilities.

nice clean, quiet room, close to freeway, area around hotel is a bit sketchy but we have stayed at University Inn many times and had no problem, we will stay again

Everything was easy, rooms renovated, very clean and nice

Both front desk people I talked to were very friendly and helpful. The room was quite modern. A big TV. The AC was nice and cold. I used to live in Tucson 9 years ago. I was familiar with the neighborhood but had no idea how bad the park, right next door, had become overrun wiith homeless.

Safe very clean Everyone is very respectful

For a motel, the rooms were very nice! Large and nicely decorated. There was a mini fridge, microwave, TV and coffee maker.

The staff was great. Great location. But I was itching really bad on my first night because I have sensitive skin, so I put a pretzel down in the other side of the bed that I slept in just to see if they clean their sheets. I checked it the next day I came back and the pretzel was still there. So I slept in the other bed. The next day I asked room service to change the sheets while I was there. The pool was also a brownish. Other than that it wasn’t bad for the price.

The room was comfortable and very well thought out. Large TV. Sheets and towels seemed new. Comfy bed and pillows. Double window shades. This list goes on. Everything was top notch. In the top 3 motels I’ve experienced. I would definitely stay here again even over a reputable hotel. Carpet needed cleaning.

The price Smokers in parking lot

Rooms are clean. Close to downtown restaurants. Beds have ditches. They need new ones. Bathtub didn't drain well. Toilet tank sometimes didn't fill.
-
Lot of homeless people around, didn’t feel safe

For the price and location, I don’t think I could’ve asked for anything better! Served its purpose and was great, also very clean room.

We stayed at the University Inn for 2 days for our daughter's college graduation. The outside of the hotel is older and could use a facelift and thevarea is honestly not the greatest. The park next door was full of homeless people upon arrival. The city really needs to do something about this because I questioned the safety of the location. our room was updated and very clean. The towels were thick and clean, staff was very helpful and nice, but no safe on the room, no hand soap (staff quickly brought us some), bottles in shower were slightly rusted and caps needed cleaned, refrigerator was just cold on coldest setting so we had to add ice to bottom tray to keep it cold, lamp in other bedroom was dated and shade was stained, shower head was weak and whistled the first 5 mins into showering. Coffee Aunt Continental breakfast in lobby wasn't available until 7:00 a.m. which was late for us because we're early risers. It was small but very nice and enough for you to start your day. They had bottled water for free in lobby. Unfortunately, because of the area I would not stay there again. I personally feel all of Tucson is sketchy so I don't plan on returning to the area.

Overall a very pleasant stay. Particularly good value when our other usual choices in the area were 2-3x the rate. This is an older motel that has been renovated for a mid-century modern look and feel. The rooms look good. Plumbing is old. Low water pressure. Surrounding area is a bit rough but we felt safe. Parking lot is well lit. I walked downtown for coffee in the morning, no problem. I will stay again if the prices stay low.
