Hampton Inn & Suites Tupelo/Barnes Crossing

We stayed in room 325 and it was really spacious and had free wifi. Cons: The beds were hard as a rock. My husband and I didn't sleep much all night because the bed was causing our backs and all of our joints to hurt so bad. Worst beds ever. The central air didn't work properly and we burnt up all night. It was awful. The old man at the desk was very rude to our 16 year old daughter. She had bought a hot pocket in the hotel store and needed some utensils to eat it with. The lady at the desk told her she could go in the breakfast area and get some. As she was getting some, the old man from the desk went up to her and said in a hateful voice, "What are you doing in here?" She told him the lady at the desk told me I could get some utensils in here. He then told her she wasn't supposed to be in here. I don't know why in the world it costs way over $300 a night to stay here. Unreal. We won't be staying here again.

Exceptional

Really appreciated the cleanliness and roominess of the room! Great shower and nice amenities but the hair conditioner was empty. Somehow the cable to the TV was unplugged and the desk manager was unavailable to help after a call, but an investigation revealed the simple fix. The exercise room is well equipped and the water is easily available. Breakfast is hot and although there is no gravy for the biscuits, the egg frittata is tasty. This property is not built with quiet rooms, like some hotels.

The room was clean, staff was nice. The hotel was close to a good selection of restaurants. It was a great place to stop for the night. Will likely be stopping and staying again!

Good place

Every staff member we encountered was nice and polite. The hotel and the room was so clean and so appreciated after a long day of travel. The breakfast was also amazing. We pass through once a year and this will forever be our stopping place!

The staff went above and beyond when I mentioned in my booking notes we were traveling and it was our son's birthday. I asked for something small like a cookie to make him feel special, they delivered way more and really knocked it out of the park with my request. Pool was nice, breakfast staff was very sweet and helpful, overall great stay. My son said he wants to come back every birthday.

We just had a quick overnight stay on our 12 hour road trip to Florida with our 2 young children. I picked Tupelo because it was a relatively safe community. I picked this hotel because it was highly rated for its breakfast and cleanliness. It was clean. We had trouble getting our room to cool off but we got in late and we were too tired to mess with it( that one is probably on us). I was very disappointed with the breakfast. Hot items were room temperature, cold items were room temperature, both kids ended up sick that evening from whatever blueberry pastry items they ate. I won't go into details as to why that's what I pinpointed as the cause but I'm glad we barely made it to our next destination before it hit them. If the lady working the breakfast area wasn't already grouchy, I would have complained about our issues at the time but I didn't want to start our vacation on that kind of note.

This is by far one of the cleanest and greatest hospitality hotels I’ve ever been to. The women who was setting up breakfast is one of the nicest people I’ve ever met! Will 100% be back
