Dunes Inn & Suites

Feel like Expedia & Dunes did a bait & switch on us. When I made the reservation it was supposed to be $79 a night. We were charged $169 a night for 2 nights. Air conditioning worked fine & parking was free & close. Next time we’ll go back to Sandcastle Inn across the street where we’ve stayed several times before & haven’t been price gouged! We highly recommend eating at Sunrise restaurant just down the street to the right on Butler. Friendly staff, good prices & great breakfast bar on the weekends. Bring bug spray to avoid biting bugs on the beach. Don’t eat at StingRay restaurant, $40 for a 4pc chicken tenders meal, fries, coleslaw & a slice of chocolate mousse cake. Spanky’s would have been a better choice.

This is a no frills kind of place. Very clean, staff is great! 10 minute walk from beach and shops. No bath tub, but shower was fantastic. Free parking. Good coffee in the lobby and pot in room. Room had refrigerator, microwave. Good price for room. The outside of the room walkway need alittle work. Bed was hard. But beside that it was a great stay for the price.

Our room was very clean and the staff were super friendly. Check in/check out was very easy and convenient. Convenient location to 14th street parking for the beach!

Was what we expected. A good place to hold your stuff while you are at the beaches

Room was clean. Staff was nice. Hotel is close to all the bars/restaurants and the beach.

This was fairly inexpensive stay. Worth it considering I planned on hanging out on the beach. I was right across from the beach and right in town walking distance from the restaurants, the sunrise had an amazing breakfast and stingrays had great dinner make a reservation though they stay busy.

Rooms needed some updating...

Overall the place was very clean and pretty well maintained for its age. The location was great. Our only concern was the mold on the ceiling and the walls of the bathroom- not a deal breaker for us- just think the fan in the bathroom was not very strong and needed to be replaced. There was no musty odor or anything like that. Oh and one bed in our room was super comfy. The other bed was not! Overall, a great little place to stay super convenient to the beach and dining options.

No complaints. Exactly what we needed for a quick layover and the beach is a block away

Friendly staff! Room was perfectly clean and supplied. All the little extras like cornhole and picnic table to sit and eat at and hanging chairs to relax in at a patio nicely done. Outdoor pool that was private from the main road. Lots of parking. Easy access in and out of the facility. Ice machine worked. Just everything that you would want was there! I’m definitely already looking at the next date to go back. And when I stay there another time and remind them I’m already reoccurring customer then there’s a discount! I have no reason to search the area for any other place to stay at.

Clean, easy to reach beaches, many cafes and restaurants nearby. The beds and sheets are uncomfortable. May be I’ve just got unlucky with them.

It was ok. Beds were comfortable. Our toilet didn’t work and the staff tried to fix it but couldn’t. Had to use the public bathroom down by the pool. Floor was sandy even after they vacuumed. I would not stay there again.

Close to all the restaurants, gas station next block over. It was a nice light walk to the beach, hotel had pool access. Beds werent the most comfortable but it worked out

Very clean property in an excellent location. You can walk everywhere. The hotel is definitely showing age and not worth the high summer rates we paid for our stay.

Let me start by saying Joy was truly kind every day. The hotel wasn’t terrible, it was just old. The paint was updated but the bathroom still smells moldy. I don’t feel like they have enough parking per room. The floor was swept n appeared cleaned until I saw my socks. I mopped the floor with Lysol wipes because my nephew loves playing with his trucks. Maids not cleaning properly that’s the bottom line. I wouldn’t stay again but it’s budget friendly.
