Sands Motel

The place was a dump. I guess you do get what you pay for. I will never stay there again nor will I recommend it. It is a very old building that looks like it’s still under construction. There were bugs in the room and I believe I even briefly caught sight of a mouse. The bed was smaller than what I booked and it was very uncomfortable. The bathroom facilities looked clean although somewhat in disrepair.

Room was not clean. No cold water in the shower so I couldn't take one after a long day of driving. People hanging outside till late at night so I did not feel safe, even with my dog. Beds were awful, stains on sheets and pillow cases. Awful night. The ad on Expedia is very misleading. Never again!

This place is a no frills basic clean modern room. No amenities. I stay here a few times a year. The price is good and the rooms clean, ac cold and the water hot. I'll be back.

Should be condemned

It’s no frills and is cheap. You definitely get your monies worth considering it’s on par with a campground fee! Many things like faucet handles were broken. Bathroom definitely has seen better days.

Filthy run down place.

Dirty room, filled with bugs. They never cleaned and the water in the sink wouldn’t drain.

It was better than camping, is all I can say. And it’s cheap, so. But there were only two wall outlets- one by the fridge across the room and one behind the bed that I could only find by moving the mattress. And the way the bed frame and the headboard are placed, only my tiny lady hands could reach it. A man would have to crawl under the bed. Not ideal when you have a CPAP to plug in. Also, I don’t even think it’s to code; there’s supposed to be an outlet on each wall.

Being honest. I didn’t feel safe, and didn’t sleep well. Trucks drove by all night too.

Friendly environment and pet friendly. A little ran down, I pulled the sheets back and found a stain so I moved to second bed. Bathtub curtain only had three rings and was grimy so I decided not to shower. I'm a marine and not bougie by any means, but this place could use some TLC

Clean, spacious room. Parking right in front of room. EV Chargers across the street at another inn. Hot water. Private bathroom. Nice, comfortable bed. Refrigerator/freezer. Plenty of clean towels. Floor had uncovered areas. Trains going by. A little noise from dogs in the next room. No shampoo or conditioner, etc. although there was soap.

Yes. The AC kept the room cool.

It was clean for the most part..it’s a very old motel and could use a serious overhaul other then several coats of paint..but I stayed there primarily for work, so it fit the price.

The room was very dirty. Crumbs all on the outside of the fridge by the microwave. A bunch of spider webs in the corners along the wall. The bathroom was very dirty with dried urine and poop on the toilet. I mean I was expecting much for the price and it being in the middle of nowhere. But gross!

Only 2 electrical outlets in the whole room and they were partially blocked by an immovable table. I had to unplug the TV and refrigerator to charge our phones. Also, would have been nice to have 2 chairs instead of one for the table. Also, no trash receptacles in the room, trash had to be taken outside. Room was clean and comfortable however.

The staff was very rude mean did not want to clean room , arguing with guests . I didn't like nothing about the sands motel.they need to meet livable standards.the water was broke down there for 3 days .no way to shower.the beds are stained and worn out.they need to replace them.
