Loved the fact it was a restored 1908 craftsman and onsite parking for free. Loved our greeter Gracie! We stayed in the Ernest Hemingway room which was decorated appropriately. Nothing

The Briar Rose Inn was quite lovely and the owners were delightful. The breakfast was delicious. The bed was very comfortable. It was walking distance to the conference I was attending, and many restaurants and parks. The problem with this property was the noise--no fault of the owners. It was difficult to sleep due to street noise; not being able to sleep makes it difficult to fully enjoy a stay at a place. That is the only reason I do not rate this property as excellent.

Location is great: no street noise, the grocery store is a block away and the 10 min walk will take you to the Waterfront. Ted was serving absolutely divine breakfast of different varieties and Sally was there to assist your needs. If you have time, the owners would gladly share the story of how Briar Rose B&B came to be and it is lovely. I hope to return soon I don’t have any complains

Sally and Ted were exceptional hosts. They were warm, attentive, and helpful. They had great stories and a cute dog. I enjoyed my stay!

Ted & Sally run a lovely bed & breakfast! They are both interesting and friendly people that have learned to focus on what each of them does best. Sally welcomed us warmly, showed us around and gave me kitchen access to make my nightly tea (I always bring my own). Ted is a great conversationlist, but he really excels at preparing a delicious breakfast. I particularly loved the lighted candles, you will never get this service in a hotel. My partner's son & daughter both live nearby, but due to both of them having cats, my partner cannot stay at their homes. We will gladly return to Briar House on our next visit. Sorry I can't think of anything we didn't like, everything was lovely.

Wonderful home, nice area great people

Everything was wonderful. The location, price, home decor, and interaction with the owners was great. We can’t say enough good things about the breakfast ? so amazing !! Nothing
-
Charming. Excellent location. Very quite. Nothing

The location was great for getting around Vancouver. The floors are all old wood and very noisy especially when other guests were using the common bathroom. It is very close to the train tracks and in a flight pattern for PDX. The shower was very small with barely enough room to move around in. The pillows definitely need replacing.
-
Adorable decor. Fantastic breakfast. Good service. Wonderful ambiance. Helpful hosts. Just one little thing: the windows needed washing.
-
Incredible hospitality, beautiful furnishings and went out of their way to make my stay amazing. Did extra things that I was not expecting and had some lovely conversations in the morning. I didn't like that I had to leave after two nights. Needed more time there.
-
Beautiful historic home that was very comfortable and clean. Owners were very cordial and kind. Breakfasts were spectacular.
-
The house was beautifully remodeled in a French country style. The bedroom was clean and comfortable and breakfast each morning was a delight.
-
Sally and Ted were wonderful hosts. The history of the home and their efforts to bring it back to its original glory shine through! Can find downtown in the flight path of PDX but not consistently and not all night, morning is when we heard it most. No fault of the host or the accommodations
-
Breakfasts were delicious. We enjoyed talking with both Ted and Sallie and learning about the history of the house. Conveniently located to walk to the waterfront and many restaurants. Quiet and safe neighborhood. Nothing. We would recommend this place.
-
An absolutely charming inn. The hosts were gracious and accommodating, and the breakfast was fit for a king.
-
The breakfast was exceptional, and the hosts were very friendly and helpful. You can hear trains at night, use the earplugs.
-
Breakfast was delicious & tailored to our dietary requests. Loved our coffee!!! Another guest had a dog that barked frequently
-
Friendly, welcoming innkeepers in a charming home in a very pleasant neighborhood. My room was very appealing and comfortable, breakfasts were a total pleasure, and the kitchen teakettle was always available whenever I wished to make myself a mug of tea.
