Holiday Inn Express Chicago NW - Vernon Hills by IHG

Overall the hotel was nice, my room was clean and staff was friendly. The area was safe with a mall very close by. Only complaint was mold in my bathroom.

Location is fantastic! Breakfast was decent. Beds were super comfy and staff was very nice. Only complaint was that the 2 rooms I booked were on completely different floors! Apparently Booking.com failed to relay the message that I requested adjoining or at least Close rooms! Not the hotels fault.

The air conditioning in our room did not remove the humidity at all. It made the air “cold,” but it was so humid that the bed, sheets, etc as well as our clothing felt slightly damp. If other rooms are like this I can’t imagine how there isn’t some kind of mildew problem in the hotel.

Hotel was fine, nothing spectacular but sufficient for what I needed. The free breakfast was solid and the room was very big. Cleanliness was fine but the hotel felt outdated a bit but no real complaints.

Location was great. Breakfast was hot and fresh. My biggest issue was the cleanliness of the room. It felt like it had been cleaned in a rush. There were water spots on the counter and there were red ants on the side table. If it had been for more than one night, I would have requested a new room. The staff was nice, though.

Was a good nice place everything was clean and comfortable. The only part I wasnt a huge fan of was all the people the hangout at the entrance. Otherwise was wonderful.
