The Islander Inn

The property is well maintained on the exterior. Overall the rooms were pretty clean. Some items did need attention. There was a good amount of dust on the wall behind the bed all the way up to the vaulted ceiling. The drop ceiling in the kitchen was discolored & dirty inside and needed replacing. The pool needs to be cleaned each morning of falling leaves & debris. It’s an easy 4 minute walk to the beach through Hamiston Beach Park which is directly across the street! Walkable for restaurants & shopping! The staff were very nice! Kudos to Ramone & Greg for making us feel so very welcomed. It’s obvious when you check in that this hotel has a very strict smoking policy which is NOT stated at all on their website or any other booking option. I booked on Expedia which states there are non smoking rooms, yet no mention of a non smoking property. I Strongly suggest Islander Inn put this information on their website and correct all other booking options. Our girls week was a success & we would definitely return to this spot!

Jeff and Ramon created such an awesome stay! The rooms were clean, the beds were super comfy, and the staff was excellent! Perfect location for downtown. Within walking distance to shops and restaurants and the beach is directly across the street!

The Islander is an Ocean Drive institution. It looks and feels like it did 30 years ago. And that is OK. If you want pedestrian access to virtually everything Vero Beach's Ocean Drive has to offer, than the Islander is the spot. Neither flashy nor overdone, The Islander is mostly bare minimum. If you'll spend your time exploring the beach and the surrounding area, then choose the Islander. If you want a lot of room time, then a more modern, appointed property might be best. Upside: the Islander is literally just steps from Vero's Ocean Drive. Downside: the Islander is literally just steps from Vero's Ocean Drive. In other words, you can hear everything: the ocean, the ocean birds, Ocean Drive traffic and pedestrian conversations. You have to take the good with the bad.

I have stayed at the Islander many times. It is very clean, nice, relaxing. The location is perfect, it is in walking distance for many restaurants, lots of shopping, and the beach.

Clean and quaint! Not enough parking for guests

The Property is an older property, but that makes special in it own way, Well maintained, close to the beach and shopping, staff was very helpful and pleasant. Enjoyed the coffee, tea and muffins in the morning. We will probably go back again, especially since it is only a couple hours away for a nice getaway on the weekend.

Friendly helpful organized staff. Clean rooms and grounds. Great location. Excellent coffee in morning! Nothing, it was great!

Love those muffins in AM

Location, it is right in the middle of a street with shops, restaurants and across from Beach park access! The remodeled rooms are in amazing condition, spacious and cute. Coffee and muffins in the morning helped get the day started. Staff was nice , is dog friendly and very clean! I got nothing negative to say. Loved it!

Great Vero Beach hotel right across from the beach and within walking distance to shops/dining - says one star but really should be much higher. Our room was both clean and comfortable and the hotel staff was welcoming and super responsive. It felt like we were staying at a friend’s house - everyone was so nice.

The staff was top notch from check in to check out Located near the beach, tons of beach shops (more upscale shopping) plenty of restaurants close by I think the pool should stay open longer than dusk

I had the best stay here! I could not be more pleased with the inn, location, neighborhood. The staff were super friendly, everything was spotless. My room was a good size as was the bathroom. They have coffee in the courtyard every morning, and wine for happy hour in Fridays and Saturdays. I can’t wait yo go back again.

Chairs and cushions outside each room allow for a great reading spot. On site personnel always quick with a hello, and inquiry if anything needed. No complaints

Very acomadating and freiendy staff .

Everyone was very friendly, even the other guests. It is a small hotel and there were chairs outside our door so we could sit outside! We will go back! The only problem was the size of the tv, it could have been bigger.

The location, friendly and helpful staff. Very clean. Great morning coffee and muffins! There was nothing I didn’t like.
