La Quinta Inn & Suites by Wyndham Vicksburg

The staff was nice but there were a few issues with the room. The door for the cabinet with the fridge would not close. The tv kept losing signal and would come back on extremely loud. Music blaring.

The beds were terrible. The staff was great and kind. Breakfast was simple but tasted good.

I never leave bad reviews and if I didn’t have my kids with me it might have been easier to stomach but as far as La Quinta’s go, this is the worst I’ve been at clean-wise. It’s really outdated which maybe it was just our room because the lobby looked fine and the breakfast was okay too. Again, if you’re a solo budget traveler it might be okay but I wouldn’t recommend it for families with young children. I feel bad leaving this because the staff was all so nice but I was not expecting what we got with the reviews that were posted. Just wanted to give people a heads up!

Driveway in poor shape. Furniture in room looks like it was taken out of the trash…all torn up by animals. Room smells strongly of mold. Carpet was wet so couldn’t take shoes off. Actual pieces of pretzels on carpet in doorway. Gave me a different room, but didn’t record it in the computer so other people were assigned the room and were trying to get in during the night!

Location and it was clean. We had to take the tank lid off to flush the toilet and pull the chain inside the tank to flush. We could not get the microwave to work. The yogurt was expired with an expiration date of 10 June. ( 19 days passed date. Some people had to try several different key cards at several different times to make it work. We booked a mobility room online which was not available.

The room was damp and musty smelling. There was no body wash in the shower.

It was an ok place to stay just to have somewhere to stay the night and rest. The breakfast wasn’t appetizing at all. Staff was nice.

Super friendly staff! Very helpful and courteous.

The gentleman on the reception desk upon arrival was quite grumpy, especially to the children (who were not misbehaving, they were walking to the pool without shoes on which he was not happy about.)

We booked our room and showed up to check in but the guy at the front desk barely spoke English and turned us away saying they did not have any available rooms. Talk about adding stress to an already stressful time in our lives as we travel to bury my Father. We will never come back to this city again.

Everything was very nice.

Wouldn’t recommend unless it’s a last resort (ESPECIALLY not at the price point)! The property is extremely outdated- television, carpet and all. We had someone that was able to open our locked door at night while my wife and toddler were sleeping. Luckily, I was awake and latched the door previously which was the only thing preventing it from swinging wide open. When I contacted staff, their initial response was “nobody else should have a key card to your room” WELL, DUH?!?!?! Thankfully they did comp our room completely, and I was able to book the last room at a property down the road which was much nicer and cleaner. As we were packing our belongings, and leaving in the middle of the night, my wife saw a roach in the bathroom as well. Just the perfect cherry on top to how our short stay was. Obviously extremely upset that all happened, but the only silver lining is that it got us out of there quicker than we thought we’d have to stay. Staff was understanding once I explained how spooked my family was after the fact I will mention as well, and I appreciated the refund. Only thing keeping it from a 1 star review.

Good location and staff was very friendly! It smelled horrible like mold/mildew, the air didn’t work, and there were stains on the bedding we left and went to another hotel.

Nice people on the staff.
