Holiday Inn Express Hotel & Suites Rochester - Victor by IHG

Responsive and friendly staff. When I questioned the color of the hot tub, they tested it and closed it until further treatment could be done.

We love a holiday inn Express and this was no different, great breakfast and clean as always.

When we arrived they were overbooked so they did not have the room we reserved so they upgraded the bedroom to King suite. The pull out bed was a bit gross when we unfolded it there was two pellets of what looked like dog food on the centre of the bed. They also brought us pillows with no pillow cases. The only good thing was the person was quick to respond to providing us with the items. Kids like the hot tub/pool. Breakfast is really basic. Disappointed by the selection. Otherwise area is safe and close to shops and restaurants.

Spigot had to be fixed before we could get a shower. Employee took care of it in a timely manner but this is something that could have been avoided by an attentive employee on cleaning duty.

Door to room 261 barely open and closed. Blind was defective and inoperable as was recognized in note. Bathroom was insufficiently cleaned with black hair on floor.

Staff helpful. Clean and good location

The staff were very friendly and helpful. The breakfast exceeded expectations. Coffee quality was quite good. The rooms were spacious and had plenty of amenities. The floors in our room did not look that clean. The room needs a deep cleaning once in a while. I realize that there is a shortage of cleaning staff so they have to rush through their cleaning. I’m sure that they are doing the best they can. I hope IHG can provide more support to housecleaning staff and do quarterly deep cleaning (baseboards, windowsills, HVAC units).

Breakfast was very tasty and a lot of various options, location is very convenient and close to many amenities , staff were very friendly.

The room had at least twenty bugs that kept showing up in the bathroom area and some on the rug

I was very disappointed in the fact that they didn't have enough staff to clean the room. After the first day they said I had to request it. (Which every other hotel I stayed at was automatic, so I was surprised about that.) They assured me the next day it would be cleaned. Well, when I got to my room at 5:00pm after being out all day it hadn't been touched, so I went to the front desk and they sent someone then to clean it. They were very nice about it, but it was disappointing to me. When I checked out the next day they explained there had been a staffing shortage and I was there in the midst of it. They assured me it would be better in the future.

Clean room, friendly staff, tasty breakfast

The turkey bacon and turkey sausage were terrible. They only had scrambled eggs one day then they had cheese omelette. The first morning they ran out of paper plates before 8:30am

room smelled like mildew and bedding had stains which I didn't notice until I was packing up. Ice bucket was still filled and had gnats in it. Breakfast was poor and ice machine also had gnats in it. Overall, it did the job, but I was looking for a bit more comfort and did not get it.

Great location. Close and easy access to shopping and restaurants. The bed was comfortable. The breakfast was decent. The room had a strong odor of wet dog when I walked in. Some of the pillows smelled like dirty head. The shower didn't have good pressure and the tub was really narrow and slippery.

The breakfast was a decent offering of items, the pool and hot tub were large. The pool area tile is very slippery.

Great place, but wish there was a non smoking patio. There should be a smoking section away from the patio area.

Toilet was not scrubbed thoroughly. Silverfish or cockroach scampered across the bathroom counter (too fast to id). Not even close to the standard of similarly or even lower priced competition.
