Ocean Resort

I want to be honest here, the location and the views from the rooms this hotel would be 5 stars. However, it needs some MAJOR renovations. My key lock to the room was busted, but it still worked, but it was next to the stairwell which was concerning. The ice bucket in my room literally had someone's SOCKS in it, along with the bucket liner. The toilet seat was broken as well. I needed some things and requests from the staff which they took care of promptly, but it came off more like just a place to sleep. The beds were ok, but older. The pool walls were lined all around with mold and the room could use some updating as well. The view and the friendliness of the staff made up for some of the stay, but the other issues are alot. I know it's not cheap, but this could be a star hotel if they would spend some money and update it.

The property in itself was clean but the water in the bathroom was very slow and there were no shower gel or other items in the bathroom.

Some lights in the room didn't turn on, the bathroom walls were dirty, there was hair on the beds, hair in the pool, no water in the shower, and the safe didn't work. That was my experience; quite expensive for all those deficiencies.

The door in the batbroom was rusted and looked like about to fall apart. One elevator at times wasnt working so it was a long wait for that. Air conditioner work as well. Overall good location and hotel to be at right off the beach.

Perfect place, great staff and the view was amazing. Going back next year.

Muy buena vista

Location was great, right on the boardwalk and beach, within walking distance to many restaurants and music venues. For the price it was amazing, the staff was terrific. There were a few repairs to the room that are overdo but it wouldn't stop us from staying there again for the price and convenience of the location.

Nice stay, pricing very good. Had a view of the beach and easy access to it. Would definitely stay again!

I wasn’t really comfortable. Weed smoke wafting from the street. Staff was nice.

Our stay was great the water pressure isn’t good at all in the shower the view was AWESOME Staff was great will definitely stay again pool could use some work but we enjoyed it 💞

Convenience to the ocean/beach. Convenience to shops and stores for groceries, restaurants, and general needs.

The rooms are decent but the whole place is poorly maintained. The pool is the worst part of the hotel, bad smell and cloudy water.

The lack of responsiveness to queries and requests for clarification are yet to be addressed by hotel management. That's all I'm permitted to say, but I would seriously consider other properties in the Virginia Beach area - we found a wonderful location that was responsive and willing to answer my questions to ensure a comfortable and enjoyable stay.

Beach view was beautiful. However the pool area needs to be updated, actually the whole facility needs to be updated. It was no toilet paper in the room at first. Also the check in wait was long because the agent accidentally charged the wrong room for a $150. Basically you have to do your own cleaning before you let your family do anything if you are like me. Also parking is limited, unless you wanna park across the street and around the corner!

The room smelled like musty cigarettes. People fighting next door the whole night. Floors finishing, bed with stains

Bedspread (duvet) in room had a large dark stain on it and the carpeting was wet in front of the fridge. When you have dated hotel furnishings, a good place to start is by loosing all the dark spreads, and going to duvet covers or just triple sheeting. It took over 90 minutes for anyone to show up to correct the issues, and I was placed on hold for 15 minutes and 10 minutes when trying to talk to a front desk associate. I was told room changing was not an option because they were sold out and all the rooms were already occupied. No arrivals remaining at 4:15 p.m. (Yeah, right!). Bed was comfortable and the shower was nice and big (accessible room), but the conditioner was filled with water. I guess you get what you pay for on the beach, and this was one of the highest rated hotels for the price on the boardwalk. Just a suggestion...when your slammed at the front desk, take a phone number and call the guest back when you're available and "I'm sorry you were on hold for so long", goes a long way when it comes to garnering a better hotel review of guest service.

The carpet is dirty, the shower is no work properly.

Need upgrades but overall okay.
