Ocean Cove Motel

Owner is friendly and very helpful , just walking distance to the beach, very convenient for everything you need.

The property is a quick 2 block walk to the Boardwalk - what a great location. Parking is included, linens are a crisp white and clean, the staff was very friendly, and during a very hot week the AC kept the room cool.

Our stay for the long weekend at the Ocean Cove was perfect. The owner Steve walked us to our room on arrival to make sure we were happy with the accommodations. He also recommended local restaurants that were perfect. Having free on-site parking all weekend was clutch. The room was perfect, clean, kitchenette let us have breakfast in the room before walking just one block for Boardwalk access and the beach. The reservation reminds you, bring your own cooking and eating utensils, but the have the stove, over, coffeemaker, fridge and freezer! Thanks for a great stay we will be back for sure!

We had a kitchenette room - located on the 3rd floor. It was a walk-up. There were issues with the lock but we sorted it out. The kitchenette had no cutlery, no glasses, no dishes. No paper towels. No kettle - making tea in a coffee maker tastes badly. The air conditioner was very noisey. There were no drawers, not enough coat hangers. I had to ask for a second set of sheets and a pillow for the pull-out sofa. No hairdryer or iron/ironing board. And the shower curtain needs to be replaced. The water stains were highly visible.

Great staffing. Room was clean. Great location. AC worked good and beds were good! Owners were nice and accommodating!!!

It is a very nice place to stay. Beds are very comfortable. Room are neat and clean. The staff is courteous and helpful. Several places to visit and restaurants within walking distance... and just a few steps away from the ocean.

Friendly, Affordable, clean. You definitely get a bargain here. Everything works. Location is great. Parking is super convenient assuming there isn't too many people there. The family that runs the facility is friendly and kind. I have no complaints other than... maybe a night stand for the bed?

This is a gem in the downtown area of Virginia Beach. I could not have felt more welcomed or taken care of. I wish I could have stayed longer! And the oysters Rockefeller at C D Shuckers, a block and a half walk nearby, were fantastic, along with the fun crowd! I hope to return soon.

Gentleman at front desk especially helpful. Room was fine, AC worked fine. Mattresses were really soft, and felt slightly uncomfortable due to the area

I liked that it was clean the owners are very nice and helpful. There was also 24hr security!

The front desk man was very informative on the best nearby locations and helped fix a toilet issue. The room was very comfortable and reminded me a bit of home. I assumed they would have silverware to go with the mini kitchen, but didn't. The deposit seemed higher than the last two places I stayed.

The owner Stevaaaan was awesome his hospitality was excellent, he is a very nice guy to chat with. The rooms were clean and close to the beach. Overall a great deal and great staff and location. Priced very fair for what you get and the location. Thanks for the great stay.

Room was very clean, bed was comfortable, AC worked well. The check-in and check-out was quick, and there was ample parking. For the low price, we expected that the room would be basic, which was fine. The Wifi didn't work at all. In the bathroom there was no place to sit anything down or hang anything up. To the owner/manager: a suggestion for a very low-budget update is just to screw in a small clothes hook on the back of the bathroom door, and please include a hairdryer. That simple update would go a long way in convenience to the guests.

We didn’t make it to breakfast but the location was great …Staff very friendly and room was very clean and neat ..Will be staying here again..close to the beach..we were overall satisfied with everything… It was anything to not like ..

But.. the reason this property gets a 10/10.. was simply do to the showers water pressure. It felt like a fire hose and was great to shower off after being in the ocean.

I was not at all pleased with the fact that they advertise a microwave and the room and when I got there was told that I was not allowed to have a microwave. Also I was robbed out of my security deposit which was not mentioned in the price and they refuse to return it and also did not allow me the opportunity to have my room checked before I left. I was accused of smoking in the room which is not true I was told to leave my keys and they would check the room later that it would be okay and they kept my security deposit and refused to return it. I have had to file a report with about a business bureau and I'm also letting you all know that is not a place to have on your listing and not recommended by me. I will be posting on Facebook and any other social media to let people know Ocean cove is not the place to say. They are thieves and liars.
