Hyatt Place San Diego/Vista-Carlsbad

Everything was great! However, I could’ve done without the 7am wake up call due to construction, especially being on vacation. It would’ve been nice to know that there was some construction going on and the possibility of being waken up so early.

Pros: comfortable bed, spacious and clean room, coffee/tea/hot water available for most of the day, accommodating staff, plenty of parking space Cons: Hotel as a whole very dated/old, layout of the room awkward e.g., bathroom door hits closet door, carpet had stains and vice versa, water pressure ok, rather than microwave in the room, would rather have a kettle for boiling water, breakfast included great idea but could use better prepared/fresh ingredients for the cooked dishes, needed to pay for parking when they used to not charge

Additionally, the first floor room had a malfunction window which did not lock but eventually the staff was able to accommodate and changed the room to an upper level. The breakfast could be better and offer more variety especially for vegetarian or offer turkey instead of pork.

Truly a nice hotel to stay at. The kids loved that the pool was heated.

We didn’t like the air conditioning and the pillows were not comfortable. The breakfast provided was not good. We did like the room which is very spacious.

1st room has a lot of animal marks in its chairs and smells so bad we bought a lysol but it did not do the job. requested a room change second room has a hairs in bed. theres 2 bed we slept in the other bed. But Food are good and staff are nice. housekeeping needs to do their job better.

We loved the location. The room was very spacious. Breakfast was great.

Exceptional

The front desk staff were not the most friendly. Of the 3 nights & 3 days we stayed there only the young man working the front desk on Saturday night greeted us "Good evening" when we returned to the hotel after dinner.

The room was spacious, nice, and clean. The shower was large. I would have given ( stars, but the breakfast food was all dry. We went elsewhere for breakfast.

Easy to find, quiet neighborhood, clean comfortable room, kind and efficient staff, great breakfast. All good
