TownePlace Suites by Marriott San Diego Vista

It was a great location. Close to everything! Appreciated the breakfast, but it was limited.

The first thing I noticed was how friendly and helpful front desk was during our late check in and the same with checkout. Room was big with kitchenette to make meals in your room. Breakfast selection is good (nothing fancy) with hot and cold items and fresh fruit. It was just a relaxing way to start the day before we checked out. Convenient location (have a Starbucks and sushi place - (idk if its good tho) just steps away).

Everything—the staff, the room, breakfast—were all good. The only problem was how hot the common areas were. There were a couple cooling units, but waiting for my ride in reception was uncomfortable.

The AirConditioning unit would switch from heat to Cold and was uneven and very cold unless turned off. The price was not worth what you get. It was a glorified Motel6 Very disappointing and costly. I can’t believe Marriott put their name on this low level property

Our room had bed bugs, when brought up to the staff member on duty, it was implied I brought them with me. No manager on site to even try and resolve the issue.

Carpet stinks and dirty. The AC was wack the whole 3 days i was there. In the Summer time!!!! RIDICULOUS

Great hotel in a perfect location

The room is clean and quiet. The staff has really been exceptional. They made it so easy and seamless for me to extend my stay two nights in a row, It’s nice to have a full size refrigerator. The bed is a bit too soft but I do prefer memory foam that has a little more firmness. If you like soft pillow tops, you will love the beds. Overall this is a good place to stay.

Exceptional

Reasonably priced hotel near Oceanside, Carlsbad and all of what San Diego has to offer. Clean quiet room with all the great amenities, with a kitchen and comfortable bed. I would have given 5 stars but the room has a very very very slight odor of old cigarettes. Other than that everything was wonderful.

That said, despite the rocky start, I have to give real credit to hotel management and staff. Maria, the manager, and the front desk team went above and beyond — not only adjusting the rate but making a genuine effort to compensate for the inconvenience and ensure the rest of our stay was comfortable and welcoming. Their responsiveness and hospitality turned a frustrating situation into a positive one, and it made a real difference in how the rest of the trip went.

Location Nothing

We had to change rooms after one night because the first room was on the first floor WAS VERY NOISY. They moved us to the 3rd floor and it was quiet. Wish we would’ve known to start with.
