Staybridge Suites Carlsbad by IHG

We had a great stay! The hotel was clean, the accommodations were comfortable, and it was perfect for our family. It shares a courtyard with the Holiday Inn, where the kids had plenty to do: Connect Four, darts, miniature golf, and even a basketball they could check out. The pool was clean and inviting, and the bar and restaurant were open in the evenings from 5 to 10 p.m. We’d definitely stay here again and highly recommend it!

Their elevators were broken the whole time so we had to use the stairs, there were ants in our room, and there were ants in the stair well.

This property was clean, conveniently located to restaurants, stores, & beaches. Staff was helpful & friendly. Breakfast was good. Pool was nice. Airport was close. Only suggestions would be to add Smart Tvs & safes in the rooms.

Overall, the stay was good. Check in was easy. The pool was nice. Breakfast had good options unless you have dietary restrictions. For gluten free there was fruit, potatoes, eggs, and corn flakes. The elevator was out of order during our stay which was inconvenient because we were on the 2nd fl. They did offer a full refund if we didn't want to stay, however it was via text a couple of hours before we arrived so even if it had been a dealbreaker, super late notice. I feel bad for the housekeeping staff who we saw lugging linens and towels in huge bags up the stairs. Hopefully they get it fixes asap.

It's unfortunate that the room we had received had ants, but they gave us a different room, which was a very good gesture and really appreciated, as we understand that somethings slipped to the cracks, everything else though was excellent.

Pool and spa were well maintained. Only issue we had was the elevators were being worked on during checkout. We were on the second floor with large luggage and a stroller. Was a bit of a hassle. Other than that it was a good experience.

The breakfast was same thing every single day, The breakfast was until 9:30 AM but by 9:15,they stop restocking items that were finished. Hotel needs to put in place a rule for young children getting food unsupervised.

Hotel was advertised as having a in-room safe which it did NOT have. Would stay again as it is convenient for our needs to visit family. The King 1 bedroom was spacious. Did not get around to try out the pool or happy hour.

The continental breakfast was just right !!! We enjoyed starting the day off w/the free breakfast. The rooms are updated, quiet, and exactly as depicted. We love the walk-ability of going to dinner on foot across the street to the Eureka, as well as Del Lusso Pizza which were both FANTASTIC !!!! The pool area at Staybridges is very nice, and the staff was friendly !!! We truly loved our stay at the StayBridges, and we will be back in the future !!! We loved the free solar-covered parking that provided shade for our new vehicle !!! All together, it was an awesome stay !!! There is an "ant" problem at this time of year in Carlsbad, so we understood not to freak out over them,,,,, but there were quite a few in our room (which didn't turn out to be a problem). We appreciated the staff and the signs in the elevator informing us of this problem. One of the two elevators was out for the entire four day stay at Staybridges, and on Sunday, the 2nd one also went out. We were on the 3rd floor so it made it a pain to run up to the room over and over,,,,, this didn't matter to us, but we saw a lady on a cane that was complaining that she wasn't going to be able to take the stairs over and over. The one elevator was repaired by the end of the day, so everyone appreciated having access to it again !!!

Front desk is friendly Elevator is not working, having to use the stairs, was not fun at all. I’m handicapped and so is my daughter, bathroom toilet not working properly?

We stayed here last minute, because our vacation rental didn’t have any AC, and it was just too hot during the heatwave. We were hot tired and cranky when we arrived. The staff were awesome! They were kind and accommodating, and we really appreciated the warm welcome. I don’t think the photos do the rooms justice. They are even nicer in person. Comfy beds and pillows too. And cold A/C! Haha

My kids had a blast in the pool late at night. They have a nice fire pit and a basketball court. The staff were super helpful and honored our requests.
