Candlewood Suites Waco by IHG

Outside looks clean and like a good property Room had bad odor musty smell , dirty linens, lukewarm water no pressure, towels had hair on them

I really have mixed feelings it was nice and convenient location. But it is an extended stay with carpets so my room reeked like dog. I notified them when I left maybe they should shampoo carpets.

It was comfortable place to sleep with a clean bed and working AC. The room had decent amenities like coffee maker, fridge, microwave, etc. Parking felt safe and well lit. The bathroom was clean and kitchen area was clean. the hotel smells, don't know if it was dirty carpet, mold or mildew but the hallway and room had the same odor and it was not pleasant. It was not a trash or sewer smell but more like dusty, dirty carpet or mold/mildew. Also there were what looked like dead gnats UNDER the covers and a few dead bugs on top of the comforter. LUCKILY they did not appear to be bed bugs or roaches etc. We had to get key cards replaced twice as one did not work the first time and the 2nd set stopped working midway through our stay.

The front desk personnel were very nice. My room was clean but it was a little musty and humid. The bed was comfortable. Good water pressure in the shower. The hallway was also musty and had the smell of… dog? (Maybe)? It was quiet at nighttime in and around the hotel. Would not be opposed to staying here again but it may not be my first choice.

Hotel was right off IH-35 and is very close to shopping and dining. Lots to do around the hotel since Loop 6 has lots of shopping and eating options. It's also about a 5-7 minute drive from downtown Waco which is very convenient. The hotel looked fairly new and it was very clean. The staff was very nice and attentive. The room was very clean and smelled newish.

The front desk was super nice. The sheets and pillows had a smell.

Best place to relax , kitchen and amenities are excellent. Will come back again and again.

We didn’t realize it was a Pet Hotel! Rooms were clean but smelled like an animal. Including pillows! Very humid with extra aroma! Looked great!

Great service from staff. Great room.

Lady at the front desk charged me the security deposit but not the man in front of me. Telling him they just need to put a card on file but won’t charge it but after telling me it’s $27 charge that you don’t get back for 3-5 business days. I’ve stayed her before and always just have to put a card on file. Weird policies that are cherry picked through depending on who you are. Great experience last time tho.

Love this place

The staff was friendly, The lobby and our room was cool even though it was 100 degrees outside. The full side fridge, electric stove and dishwasher were a GREAT PLUS. The room was clean. The parking light is well lit and make it easy for me to take my pets out after dark. My pets were welcomed. Candelwood Suites are going to be my first pick for hotels going forward!

Very nice and the free washer/dryer was an unexpected plus.
