Kimpton Hotel Monaco Washington DC by IHG

I have stayed here several times and am never disappointed. The location is great - access to Metro across the street, lots of restaurants and an easy walk to the mall.

Beautiful hotel very classy

Love the Monaco. Stayed there many times over the years. A minor thing: I am put off by the hotels insisting on charging for any movie - and charging far too much. Otherwise, couldn't recommend more highly.

Beautiful old hotel which has been modernized to sparkle. Staff extremely helpful and friendly. Close to the mall and the capital. Great restaurants in walking distance. Next to the Shakespeare theater for those that have interest

Stunning , historic, architectural beauty

Please clean these rooms. I felt as if I was suffocating with all the dust on the light fixtures, headboard and carpet. The carpet is filthy. This is unacceptable after you've paid almost 1k per night. This is motel standard for a "luxury hotel ".

The hotel was nice. Our room was very large.

Poor sanitary condition. Badly managed. There are better choices. Read all the 1-2 star reviews. They are accurate.

Location and the design style of hotel, big beds with an office desk, Service in general very lovely. We just check in late and there was a misunderstanding with the room occupancy- the room we got was already in use when we tried to check in the guest were sleeping. Just lucky they locked the door from the inside. Can happen and not a disaster because the late night security guy was very helpful. But staff still was amazing!

Location Rooms need some additional amenities for the price. Otherwise OK.

I have been staying at this hotel for over 10 years, and the level of service has always been exceptional. The consistency, attention to detail, and genuine hospitality keep me coming back year after year. Thank you to the entire team for making my birthday weekend so special.

A great hotel next to everything

The hotel was great. Location is excellent- just across the road from the metro. Room was spacious and clean. Staff were excellent. Hotel is a little dated but doesn't take from its charm. Bar is very good. If I ever return to Washington it will be to the Kimpton Monaco.

The toilets have pressurized flushes, which is great, but we still had to double to triple flush to empty the bowl when there was hardly anything in it. They must just need servicing or it's just poor plumbing in an old building.

The entrance hall is misleading as everything from there is below expectations from very rude staff to smelly and old fashioned room. Not worth the price: there are a lot of better options around.
