It was quiet. Clean. Convenient. I liked the historic DC decor. The room was essentially in the basement. With no windows. That’s a lot of money to be in the basement.

Loved everything, especially the location, except for an undisclosed $35/day “amenity fee/tax” for 2 bottles of water per day and use of a Monopoly game if I wanted to play against myself.

Every part of my stay was amazing from location( safety and walkability); check in easy and friendly. Loved the restaurant and bar - all were friendly and remembered me daily. Great food and drinks. Great room with tub !! And I left my jacket behind, and they were helpful with getting it sent to me! Definitely on my list of places to stay /return😊

The maid service was great. We were in a basement room that was extremely musty. The room size was super small and dark. Not sure what the extra $39 resort fee was for. I thought the cost was more than it was worth. The location was great but no place to sit outside comfortably.

Loved the location, the decor and the building itself. Nice bar, and restaurant-great staff.

Pam, our housekeeper, was amazing! Friendly and more than efficient. Our room looked like we just got there every time we came back after a long day of sightseeing . The doorman was always friendly and accommodating, as were the valets. This is our second stay there in the last 2 years. Great location.

Welcoming staff…better than at most hotels we’ve visited. Property could be better maintained but it’s an extremely large historic building that requires constant upkeep. Has beautiful architectural details. Overall a very nice experience.

We really enjoyed our stay at the Kimpton Hotel Monaco Washington DC. The beautiful historic building was originally the General Post Office, dating to 1839. The location is fantastic, close to the National Mall, museums, restaurants, and many major attractions. A beautiful hotel in a perfect location. We would definitely stay here again!

The breakfasts in the hotel bar were really good, with a nice variety on the menu.

Bathrooms were kinda small with the toilets being rather low to the ground which can be hard for people with mobility issues to use.

I have stayed here several times and am never disappointed. The location is great - access to Metro across the street, lots of restaurants and an easy walk to the mall.
