Riggs Washington DC

Overall good stay. Location is good, service good and room was comfortable. My only complaint would be that they didn’t make up our room. I would expect that from this level of hotel. But would definitely stay here again.

Dining was excellent & reasonable price, rooms clean. Very near the Smithsonian museums

Staff were amazing, location of property is perfect. Room was functional but would prefer a proper chair or desk chair for seating instead of upholstered ottomans.

It was a beautiful hotel, lovely staff, and my room was stunning. I will definitely be back.

Great room, great location. Cool vibe

1. No usable refrigerator of our own. 2. No drawers for items that can not be hung up hangers. 3. There were signs of wear and tear, like carpet seems exposed, pealing paint, and paint application that looked sloppily applied. 4. A lack of a service elevator. 5. The daily service/resort fee was of little to know value to customers. 6. Lack of a microwave. Now the great things. 1. Wonderful location to major monuments, attractions and restaurants. 2. Metro easily accessible at several nearby locations. 3. Great housekeeping crew. 4. All staff welcoming, friendly, and helpful! 5. I very much appreciated the great breakfast plan at a beautiful environment. 6. Expensive but that expensive came with value. 7. Always felt safe. 8. Most staff quickly recognized me as a patron and some even knew me by name. 9. Check and out easy and friendly. 10. Always made me feel I belonged and was important. 11. Thoughtful. 12. Great beds. 13. Quiet nights.

My 2nd stay here and it was even better than last time. Location is walkable to many tourist spots. Very safe area to walk to/ from dinner if you wish. We had a Deluxe King Room which faced the street, nice light and although there was some noise from a nearby music event, it didn’t go very late. This hotel Is top notch, not a scuff mark, no stray hairs, nothing. The mini bar is full of high end drinks and other necessities. Front desk helped me with my cooler packs, Valet had my car ready at check out. This hotel was a pleasure.

Otherwise a nice hotel, but I woke up with bed bug bites all over my back. Gross.

Staff were incredibly helpful and friendly! Food (especially breakfast) was fantastic. We’ll be back!

Incredible stay - the location couldn’t be beat and the food was exceptional. We stayed in a double room that had a great view but then switched to the larger, upgraded Atelier room - this room was large and well equipped but was lacking a view. Overall, great experience!

The staff were everywhere, all the time, but not in a creepy way. Whenever we needed something, helpful staff just seemed to appear. They were kind and knowledgeable. The building is a work of art, and the room was one of the most comfortable I've ever stayed in. A memorable stay for all the right reasons!

The Riggs was a big disappointment. Cool idea: old bank building. Good location. Staff welcoming. Even got a room upgrade thanks to Expedia. But my room was grim. Dark wallpaper that showed dirt flecks, scarred furniture, dusty rugs and headboard. It looked like no one had dusted. There was no turn down service. An odd contrast for a place with very nice shampoo and products. The shower was nice. The Riggs Cafe is funky. They treated me to an iced tea while I waited for my room (I was early). But my breakfast toast was cold and over-toasted. Bottom line nice staff. Fun idea. But a 2.5-3 star hotel charging 4-5 star prices.

Dining room was freezing which ruined the meal, so we quit eating there. Hidden expensive nightly” charges we were not told about until we checked in. I doubt I would ever stay again.
