Riggs Washington DC

We had a wonderful time at Riggs Washington DC. It is one of the top notch hotels in downtown DC. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The highlights of our stay were at Cafe Riggs. Every meal we ordered was amazing and prepared to perfection. On top of it, the staff in the restaurant were very attentive to details. We are already looking forward to our next visit.

Lovely staff let us check in early, which made a massive difference. Fantastic location allowed us to walk everywhere. Good bar downstairs.

Very beautiful Hotel with EXCELLENT restaurant, Cafe Riggs. The pancakes are amazing for breakfast and the chicken for dinner was the best chicken ever! Very cool bar in the vault, Silver Lyan.

Great hotel!

Booked the hotel for the rooftop to watch air show on the fourth. They would not open the roof during the day but said they would at night to watch the fireworks. The roof faces the complete opposite direction, could have watched the airplanes during the day though. Not sure what was going on.

Riggs was an incredible hotel option for our recent DC trip. The location made it easy to access all the museums, Ford Theater, Capitol grounds and FIFA fan events. Cafe Riggs was great & there were plenty of other food options available closer to the hotel. The gum ball machine was definitely a hit with the kids. The MLK library a block away and the city center DC were some spots that our family loved. We were traveling with a neurodiverse person and the hotel made it seem so welcoming and inviting. We would definitely love to go back there.

The check- in people: cold, detached, bordering on unprofessional. Did not feel Welcome. Even though I’ve been a repeat guest at Riggs l will not return. I like feeling welcomed and appreciated for being a supporter and an important part in the ecosystem. Hotel Riggs is not it. (Also, after the fact item: hotels.com let me know last night that as a VIP apparently I was supposed to be given the option of a free room upgrade, which never happened). Very disappointed. Will not go back.

So close to all major attractions.

We had family members that came to join us for drinks and they were all so impressed, the whole family is now coming to the hotel for our next visit! (Some had gone to the Westin and some to the Ritz). The place is beautiful and location very convenient. Thank you for making our visit to DC a pleasure.

Riggs it’s one of the best hotels we have stayed in DC, everything about it, rooms, restaurants, bars and personnel are excellent. It would be great if the hotel decides to open a nice bar or restaurant on the rooftop.

Wonderful place

Too shady! Seemed like RESORT charges for such a tiny room. On/off light switch hard to locate because you literally were in the dark behind the bathroom door in a very small space of the bathroom. My partner and I did not touch any candies, drinks for any charges occurred. I am very appalled 😭of this hotel
