Motel 6 Washington, PA

The rooms were filthy.

I *used* to stay here 4x a year. It’s always been convenient, affordable, right off the highway, and not luxurious but totally acceptable to stay for a quick night off the road. But I was just there and the room they gave me was absolutely disgusting. The main problem was it STUNK! of urine. I’m assuming they allowed a dog to stay in there and it peed ALL over the rug. The smell was completely overwhelming. When I asked for a new room, the guy said the only one they had available was a more expensive one, which I couldn’t really afford, and it was far away in their other building (I had my own dog with me and a ton of stuff and just was too tired to try to move it that far plus as I said, it was more expensive). So instead, they just handed me some carpet deodorizing spray! It was so gross but I couldn’t afford to leave and stay somewhere else when I had already paid. Once I got to my final destination, I opened my suitcase and all my clothes also stunk of urine. I had to wash everythingimmediately. It was room 163 by the way. If they try to give you that room, do not stay there! It’s disappointing because I’ve been a good customer of theirs for many many years. To be fair, I think if I had gotten there when the owner was behind the desk, this would’ve ended up very differently. But I’m pretty sure the guy that was checking me in was just an employee and didn’t have the power to help much. The owner has always seemed nice.

Dirty, old mattress

First room offered was completely funky!!!! Reaked of urine and dirty carpeting. TV only gave one channel, which I had to summon the front desk to operate. Second room was given above.

Nothing about it. It took three tries to get a half decent room. The house keeper wouldn't clean properly. She stated she would clean better if she was paid more.

Cheap room Room smelled terrible, like a wet dog. Was hard to breathe at times, the stench was that bad. The carpet was soaking wet in areas, when I layer towel down to soak it up, it was yellow. I can only assume it was pee from an animal. Cleanliness is not their strong suit. I only needed to basically sleep and take a shower. I wish I would've spent a little bit more money for something better

Employees are great and rooms are clean Ice machine didn’t work it’s okay though the rooms are very comfortable

We stayed for 2 nights and the room was not cleaned, the beds were not made, fresh towels were not peovided. The bathroom door latch did not work. The only thing they got right was replacing the malfunctioning TV the first night of the stay. Completely unacceptable experience and will NEVER stay at another motel 6 property

Do not stay here despite the cheap rates. The pics were probably when they first opened. Its absolutely the worse property I have ever stayed in. Its like they don't even try to clean the room.
