Drury Inn & Suites West Des Moines

Second visit and great both times!

We stayed here because it was in the 90’s and our A/C was out. It couldn’t be fixed for 2 days. Their free dinner and 3 alcohol beverages per adult per day was such an unexpectedly nice feature, and all the staff were so friendly and helpful. My toddler loved the pool and us adults enjoyed the hot tub. The room was very comfortable with a little fridge and microwave. Breakfast was better than most hotels too! Would 100% stay here again!

There was a long line of customers waiting to get checked in-- so that was a bit disappointing. My friend wasn't even able to get into her room until later that night. The pool area was great. An elevator was broken during our stay, and since the hotel was completely full of guests that was a challenge.

Great stay! Evening reception was more like a full dinner, and breakfast did not disappoint either. Definitely would stay here again!

Hotel is clean. Convenient to have meals provided. Hotel overall is pricey for what it is- pillows and mattresses are uncomfortable. No lotions provided and only 2 towels provided in the room.

It was nice and in a convenient location from our venue. Everything was clean.

Breakfast and kick back were great amenities. Pool was clean and not freezing. Room was clean. Staff was friendly.

The hotel overbooked and we were not given a room. We were sent to another hotel that was cheaper than the room we paid for at the Drury and we’re not refunded the difference in the amount of the room.

The breakfast and kickback are wonderful amenities, especially for families with kids. My issues is that they only have two elevators in a building with 6 floors. That includes housekeeping and maintenance as well. So when one elevator isn’t working (like while we were there) that is a major inconvenience. There were people waiting in line for the elevator in a line with staff and having to take turns and wait multiple times with 6 floors! Also the beds suck, worst night of sleep I’ve had in a long time in a hotel. Won’t be staying here again.

Rooms are small carpet smelled and was sticky. Bathroom was small.
