Drury Inn & Suites West Des Moines

The hotel overbooked and we were not given a room. We were sent to another hotel that was cheaper than the room we paid for at the Drury and we’re not refunded the difference in the amount of the room.

The breakfast and kickback are wonderful amenities, especially for families with kids. My issues is that they only have two elevators in a building with 6 floors. That includes housekeeping and maintenance as well. So when one elevator isn’t working (like while we were there) that is a major inconvenience. There were people waiting in line for the elevator in a line with staff and having to take turns and wait multiple times with 6 floors! Also the beds suck, worst night of sleep I’ve had in a long time in a hotel. Won’t be staying here again.

Rooms are small carpet smelled and was sticky. Bathroom was small.

Stayed 3 times but decided for the money it will be our last. Nothing bad but not the. Cleanliness/ not dirty but not great and elevator has been Fuentes to 2 the last 2 times we stayed

Walking distance to shopping and dining. Kickback is always a treat and staff continues to be pleasant - thank you again!

The front desk girl at night was drowning but she did amazing with no help from her manager. She needs a raise

Our stay was great but what stood out the most was how friendly the staff was!

I’ve learned that Drury hotels are simply some of the best hotels in the country. Family owned, incredibly high standards, staff who love their jobs.

Indoor outdoor pool and breakfast Pool was a little small

The room itself was very nice. Only one elevator was working and baseball teams were there. Since they had equipment and luggage — they had to use the elevator. This caused us to sometimes wait upwards of 15 minutes to move from floor to floor. Unacceptable.

Breakfast and kickback food was great! Free soda machine as well which everyone loved. Clean rooms and bathrooms. Downside was no room amenities- no lotion etc.

Check in was odd. Desk person loud and did not offer info. Just kept asking questions, like ifknew when breakfast was. I said no, and had to ask where it would be served, where elevators were, wifi connection... 😒

Very clean room and super friendly staff. The dinner and breakfast were a great addition to our stay. Great location for your cross country trip.

We love Drury! One elevator was down. So long wait.

Staff was great, the complimentary breakfast and dinner + drinks were such a money saving bonus. The location was great with plenty of conveniences around the property. Good gym, good pool!

The place was extremely busy, the only downside was popcorn dropped by people, but didn't pick the droppings. Love the popcorn, but probably needs more supervision on those busy nights.
