Hotel is starting to show a little age

Hallway noise was undesirable. Room was clean. Bed was comfortable. Breakfast was great. Check-in was smooth.

The hospitality offered was great, the breakfast outstanding and the staff friendly. They accommodated our needs and requests swiftly and with joy.

Breakfast was very good.

We enjoyed our stay. So much that we stayed here again on our way back through Des Moines.

We stayed there for one night after a long day on the road. The in-house alarm clock woke us up at 5 a.m. and again at 5:30 a.m. The second time I was about to have my own Office Space moment. I cannot believe it is not routine for housekeeping to ensure alarm clocks are turned off for the next guest. When I went downstairs at breakfast and mentioned this to Aurora, her answer was, “Oh.” Not even an apology, or I will let them know. Nada. Nothing, just an “Oh.” Checked out an hour later again met with Aurora and she said nothing. Customer service really goes a long way. This wasn’t even our first time staying at this property and have stayed at multiple Hyatt Places before. First time I’ve ever been disappointed. Exhausted the rest of the day. Zero stars.

The amenities were great. Pricing and breakfast in the morning.

Wonderful property and great staff. Found out late in our second day that the room door didn’t actually lock and our room was not secure while we had been away. Staff did offer to move us to a different room.

Rooms air conditioning unfortunately was not working properly. We only planning one night but let hotel know in morning that it was not working the best.

Pet friendly! Close to good food options

I am a Marriott and Hilton guy but I tried the hyatt. King suite there was nothing in the big kitchen not a utensil ,spoon anything, bed was terribly uncomfortable , bathroom plumbing piped were running on outside the walls instead of in so you saw that corroded copper, they showed a double sink in the king suites but a single just a single sink in bathroom. There was no literature on the hotel anywhere in the room not knowing what they offered or hours of things at the hotel. Floors are not very soundproof whom ever was above us sounded like horses from the thumping on floor kept me awake till around 3 am. Pretty sure the eggs were powdered eggs for breakfast
