Best Western Executive Hotel Of New Haven - West Haven

The free breakfast was delicious, and the free parking was convenient. However, I was disappointed when I realized that the property description was rather deceiving. It claims that there is direct beach access, when in fact the closest beach is a 7 minute drive (1.5 +/- miles) with no free parking nearby. Also, the property charges a deposit of $200, which may take up to 30 days to be refunded. After spending one night in the room and one thirty minute swim, I, developed a runny nose, itchy skin, and red, itchy and watery eyes. Then I noticed that the carpet was not very clean and there was dust under the furniture and in the corners.

Parking is an absolute nightmare at this location. We arrived later in the evening and the parking lot was completely full due to trucks taking up a majority of the parking. Front desk advised us to park up on the hill or to “make your own spot.” Housekeeping had left a rag used for cleaning on the floor in our room and the shower didn’t drain properly. Thankfully we only stayed 2 nights - definitely won’t stay here again.

Room was clean and quiet and we were right across from the elevator so that says something!!!! Checking in was very easy . Staff was super helpful and friendly!! Only two small areas of small issues. First and there really is nothing to do about it. A parking directly around the hotel is quick to fill up at night. They do have overflow parking up along the street across from gas station. However not the most optimal. We had to park there and there were no issues. The other breakfast was adequate. It's what you'd expect purely Continental well stocked the complaint. Every single Apple had a bruise on it. Not the end of the world. You cut it out however that would be my area when we're in the area for 1000%. Will go back there and stay very reasonable price. Excellent location to the Amtrak trains station. Quiet safe. Great for a mother daughter trip. Highly recommend

The room was clean and comfortable. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Fruit available for breakfast was very limited. Parking was difficult to find a spot. Refrigerator froze everything in it and even after I asked to have it adjusted it still froze everything. The clock radio didn’t keep time accurately and the radio didn’t work.

A lot of parking, walking distance to food.

Great stay!! We had an issue with the room and it was quickly corrected.
