The Charlie Hotel

This was such a charming and adorable hotel. I will definitely return. I loved the green spaces and the locatioin of the hotel

The Charlie is a unique property--an adorable cluster of English-style cottages set around a shady green courtyard. Step out through the gate onto a quiet residential street not far from the bustle of West Hollywood. The best of both worlds! My "room" was a small apartment with separate kitchen, living room, bedroom, and bath--spacious and homey. I also spent time sitting out on the small private patio in front of my unit--peaceful and relaxing. I would love to return for a longer stay!

Tons of character. Very well maintained grounds. Accidentally locked myself out of my room. Mosquitoes attacked me. Lol

We loved our stay at The Charlie Hotel. The staff was great; the property has a fun history; the bungalow was very nice; it’s in a convenient location; and, it was so peaceful. We definitely plan to come back.

This place always impresses me. I had friends and family stay here when I lived in LA and now that I live on the East Coast, it's my favorite place to stay when I come visit. It feels like your own charming apartment.

Luckily, I convinced them to keep our booking, but we had to go through additional security clearances like providing our IDs. The property also kind of felt like a maze when we arrived, since they basically gave us a map and instructions on how to access our room.

It was a true English cottage experience!

The property was centrally located and easy to find parking was great, the rooms were large spacious and felt like home. I love the gardens and the serenity away from the city, it has private parking if you choose to use it and has been updated inside nicely.

The Charlie is an absolute gem of a boutique hotel. It is an older property, but it has been beautifully renovated to offer a peaceful, hidden sanctuary complete with beautiful garden, private patios in a quieter area of town. The room itself is beautiful, has an exceptionally comfortable bed and large pillows, spacious comfortable separate living room, a great TV setup with tons of channels, and the massive bonus of a full stainless steel kitchen. If you are looking for an incredibly cute, character-filled getaway with great amenities and tranquil outdoor spaces, this place is a perfect choice. I’ll definitely be going back.

I reserved the Steve studio for a two night stay, The Charlie is absolutely charming, I chose it for the wonderful Chaplin connection, it’s style, kitchen facilities and it’s proximity to my meetings. It had its own pretty flower filled garden. The bed was very comfortable, the decor lovely, the kitchen small, perfect with a great cooker and fridge and the bathroom was clean and bright. The desk in the room was perfect for my work. The second night it was difficult to sleep, because of the people socialising above me with their windows open and footsteps are loud, there was a slight smell of damp in the wardrobe cupboard, which may have been from the washing machine in there. The staff were kind and attentive, the gardens are peaceful and gorgeous, I enjoyed the large sunny communal deck and I was kindly given a late checkout, which I really appreciated. I would very happily stay there again.
