Beautiful location and super convenient to Hanover and Dartmouth by car…good, firm mattress . I love that there was an old phone book! Shower pressure was low. Water temperature was hard to adjust.

The old motel is conveniently located down the road from Dartmouth College, nestled in the woods by itself on the bank of the Connecticut River (which our first floor picture window looked over), and the room was pretty well maintained. Coffee and a limited breakfast assortment are provided in the morning. Our room included a king bed and appliances (with a fridge, safe and iron we did not try out, plus a hair dryer), and the modest TV came with all the channels we needed. Overall, it may be the best deal on nightly lodging near Hanover. The buildings are old and dated, and the damp environement shows. The rooms are fairly small, with a desk and table taking up most of the floor space left over from the king bed, and the bathroom is even tighter. Fortunately, it was clean, so my wife was okay with it, but don't bring anyone you would want to impress or who wouldn't appreciate the cost savings.

Quiet serene riverfront location, halfway between Hanover and Lebanon. Very convenient.

and in a quiet area. I want to add the innkeeper was very efficient and helpful with a few of my needs. He was very quick in his responses to accommodate. It was dated and had had some patchwork to cover up issues.

Bugs in bathroom floor

Yes, this is an old-fashioned roadside, single story, motor hotel badly in need of updating. However, my room was clean, the proprietor was friendly and helpful and, best of all, the river view was awesome! I had the King room with the Riverview in the newer building at the back. I would stay there again for the river view.

Place is rundown, neglected and overpriced. I'll never go back. Bed, shower, staff and hornet's nest outside the window.

If you expect housekeeping every on a multi-day stay, this place is not for you. Clean when you arrive, simple continental breakfast, old fashioned motel. A little long in the tooth, but as a place to sleep comfortably, at below local market rates, it can't be beat.

Nice, small motel in a wonderful location right on the river. Staff was very nice and helpful. Would definitely recommend.

THERE WERE NO BEDBUGS. THE ROOM WAS CLEAN. THE TOILET WAS ALMOST ON THE FLOOR. THE ROOM WAS GOOD FOR OUR ONE NIGHT STAY. THE STAFF WAS NICE. THE BEST ACCOMODATION WAS THAT THEY SEPARATED GUESTS WITH UNOCCUPIED ROOMS. THERE WAS NO SMOKING IN THE ROOM BUT YOU ARE ALLOWED TO SMOKE OUTSIDE WHICH WAS A NICE WAY OF RUNNING THE BUSINESS.

The bathroom was very dated and didn't look clean. Time to get rid of all carpeting.
