Cambria Hotel West Orange

The reason to give 4 stars is that we had to wait for over an hour after regular check-in time to get our room. The hotel staff did apologize and provided free breakfast coupon for the following morning.

Our double bed room was spacious and comfortable.

The staff were friendly enough and the room was large. That being said, the lobby didn’t have any water available. The air conditioning made a continuous high pitched sound when running. Guests were yelling in the halls till 4-5 in the morning. The bed was uncomfortable and caves in. There was no complimentary breakfast buffet and it was all paid à la carte. The amenities of the hotel were not great either.

Outside of the hotel was not very safe. People were in the parking lot smoking weed, and trying to get people to go in their vehicle. Very weird.

My husband and I had a great stay at Cambria in Orange, New Jersey. Our room was comfortable and clean, and the staff was friendly and welcoming. We truly enjoyed our stay and would definitely stay again. ❤️

On Booking.com, it stated that I would receive complementary breakfast. However, once I attempted to receive my complementary breakfast, I was told that I did not sign up for a complementary breakfast complementary from my understanding mean that it would be offered however I was denied a meal.. The property was in a great location

Staff were friendly, professional and helpful. We had to ask for housekeeping on day two- it’s not automatic. We had to have our room keys re programmed several times.

Easy check in. Polite staff

Easy check in process. Very accommodating through a last minute hiccup. Clean room, clean bathroom, clean fridge and microwave. Security very present which made it feel safe.

Worst breakfast ever. Serve good quality breakfast or just remove the service completely.

Wasn’t given a breakfast voucher even though we paid for it so we got charged for breakfast that morning. And it didn’t happen to us but two different guests were given the same room. We overheard the situation but the staff handled it very well.

Nothing. Told there was a pool to which is the reason I stayed and booked here and then they said can’t use the pool because we are cleaning it. Which again I understand it needs to be cleaned but why not before hours?? Pool was to open at 9am and at 10am the cleaning hadn’t begun and we had to leave for a baseball tournament at 11. 1030 went down and they still hadn’t started cleaning. Never was able to use the pool the entire reason why I stayed here for my daughter to swim. Was given an attitude by the ghetto staff that worked there. Everything. Staff had terrible attitudes. They didn’t accommodate to a single need.

The front desk staff were very helpful in terms of allowing an early check in. The property was well maintained and centrally located within walking distance of shopping and restaurants.

Had to wait for my room over an hour on day one. All bathrooms in the lobby had no toilet paper or anything. Room was not clean.. only one towel. No bodywash. Low shampoo. Then we were accused of stealing towels! Took two weeks to be reimbursed. Housekeeping is horrible.

Wish you didn’t have to REQUEST room cleaning.
