Courtyard by Marriott West Orange

The rugs on the flooring smells as wet. The communication among staff is poorly communicated. I was interrupted from my sleep twice, even though I paid full price for fewer hours. The staff failed to place my correct checkout time and the house keepers kept banging on my door.

The entire stay was terrific

Booking.com. Upon getting to the property they requested that I have a card on file they can charge a refundable $50 hold on. It's been 23 days since I checked out of the hotel and the $50 hold on my card has not been refunded. Please contact the hotel to initiate my refund.

One evening we ate at the hotel. The lady who prepared our meal was very nice and friendly. In fact she was the only staff person who was friendly. Noone else even smiled at us. We did not feel that we were treated with friendliness or respect. None of the staff smiled.. No breakfast was provided for free as in some Courtyard Marriotts. Our coffee machine was broken. I complained, but it was never replaced. We stayed 5 nights. Our room was not cleaned until the 3rd day after I complained. I thought the Marriott brand would assure a good hotel, but I was mistaken.

WIFI was only available for Marriot Bonvoy members. Half the staff were somewhat surly, others very friendly. On checkout, I was told email receits were the only option. I was charged the incidental fee. On checkout, I was told it would be returned in a few days. I called when it was not returned after a week. I was told it would take a week or so, which is BS. Two weeks out they still have not refunded the incidental fee.

The location was great, with easy access to highways and conveniently adjacent to a shopping center with multiple restaurants.

Rooms were clean and staff was friendly. Can’t rate food since I didn’t eat.

We first checked in. Everything was fine until we tried to open the door with the card keys that didn't work went up-and-down the long hallways 3 times to the front desk and finally got in. The next morning got locked out again. Had to get the made to do a trick to open up the door. it's just ridiculous tgat they don't fix them.And then in the morning ordering breakfast from the kitchen in the lobby and was treated rudely and the young girl with the dyed grey hair was not nice to us at all. I couldn't recommend this place to anyone.

The people who worked there were very professional and very sweet. Joan, who works at the bistro was excellent. Lovely.

there was one problem - no restaurant (unlike it was mentioned in the ad), the bar with strict schedule is not very convenient...

Pillows were not supportive! Hotel only had the one variety.

Friendly, helpful staff. Quiet, safe hotel.
