The staff at Suburban Suites were very friendly and my room was spacious and clean. During my stay, the new owners were cleaning up the outside of the hotel; making improvements in and outside the hotel; and it seemed to me that the goal was to elevate the hotel from a 2 Star Hotel to a 3 Star Hotel. The place in general is quite rundown and needs a lot of TLC and upgrades. Additionally, there were some unsavory individuals staying there, but I never felt unsafe…and everyone—no matter their personal circumstances—deserve a bed and place to stay. The rooms overall need an overhaul and general maintenance and sinks, closets, door handles, etc, need replaced. The bed was a king but definitely a cheap and squeaky bed. Overall, if you are looking for a reasonably priced hotel in a very convenient location, I recommend staying here. If you’re looking for a hotel that offers nothing more than the basics, I would find somewhere else to stay.

We were given a 3rd floor room and we had a few bags so we got in the elevator just once and then never again. It was unnerving to be in an under serviced/old rattling elevator. On my last day, it had gotten stuck with individuals inside it. Fire crew and EMTs came to rescue and treat the individuals stuck inside it. We were told by a paper taped to our door, not the front desk, the air conditioning cleaning crew would enter the room at any time 8:30-5 in a 4 day window. There is no cleaning service. We had 1 roll of toilet paper and 1 tube of shampoo which required a visit to the front desk to request more for our long stay. But then no one was at the desk when we kept checking so we just bought some nearby. Fridge is full sized which is nice, there’s a microwave and sink but no utensils or supplies so that wasn’t helpful. The beds move when you sit on them. Sleep was dependent on neighbors yelling or dogs barking all hours of the night. Be careful where you step outside, not everyone cleans up after their dogs. Internet that’s useful is $17 a week, the free one is very slow. There is one deadbolt on the door, the latch at the top had been removed and the door didn’t totally shut so it felt unsafe at times. Won’t stay again.

This run down, miserable "hotel" should be avoided by anyone wishing a clean, quiet, reputable lodging. With one exception: were you just released from jail, you might find this a wonderful spot to move any worldly belongings into and call it home. The only exception was the staff. A team of friendly and helpful people, they clearly are doing the best they can under these circumstances. This place should be stripped of any licenses they hold and be raised and erased from memory. The noise above me and next to me never ended. That I had two AA batteries under the masking tape in my TV remote apparently meant that I was one of the lucky ones. This was the worst place I have ever seen.

This place was disgusting. Did not feel at all safe! We had 3 rooms and each had issues. In one the microwave was all burnt up inside like it had been in fire, in another the tv/cable didn’t work, the 3rd had no AC and smelled like a dead animal. You couldn’t pay me to go back to this hotel.

Whole property smelled of cigarettes & weed

The room next to us was super loud they fought most of the time screaming and you can hear the furniture banging , and to top it off a loud big dog barking. I spoke with front desk they said the room next to us, they’ve been there for a year, so it sounds like they rent to live there. The place smelt of smoke (non smoking). We went up for a concert so most of the other hotels were sold out or i would have left immediately. Not a big deal but remote had no backing and the counters had paint peeling everywhere where so it’s not well kept up. How ever room was clean, sheets clean and fresh towels.

My room needed remodel. Mold in bathroom. Smelly like pee. Fixtures loose in the tube.
-
My window won’t open without slamming on itself & the screen is falling out of the wall. I have to turn my main light switch off with tape because the switch bounces back when turned off. Denied room switching twice.

Well to start with there was no one there to check me in and there was a note to call a cell # and the phone was sitting on the desk how is that a convivence sat there for 20 mins before anyone showed up. then the tv in the room sucked couldnt change channels and no one at the desk to answer the phone the blinds were broken. there was no coffee pot or even a breakfast like most hotels, And then someone decided to pee in the elevator and again no one in the office to tell about the mess

Seem to have a lot of unhoused clientele with their dogs.
