Rio Motel and Suites

The only thing I liked was that it was closer to the boardwalk and places to grab breakfast in walking distance. There were stains. The tv remote didn’t work at first had to call the front desk. There was a bad odor like if people peed on the floor. The walks need a good touch up on paint and the table was dirty I cleaned it and it was disgusting. Needs new curtains. I feel like it needs to be renovated.

Place was in a perfect location and was allot bigger than expected Difficult to find where check in was. If more info was given in an email previous to check in it would’ve been nice.

The location was perfect. You can see the Wildwood sign, boardwalk, and ocean in the distance. Everything was within walking distance, but still was more on the quiet side you get in the Crest. Our room, 205, was beautifully remodeled. The bathroom was all brand new, the room was clean, the wood tile floor was so nice compared to other motels with carpeting, and it’s rare to get a full sized kitchenette in a motel. We had a 3/4 size fridge and freezer, kitchen sink, all the appliances you’d need. We didn’t need to bring a single thing for the kitchen besides paper towels. Finally, the best part of this property was the price. We chose it first because it was dog friendly and we brought our dog, but our stay for a week in August was about half of what it would have been in other dog friendly motels. I definitely recommend a room on the second floor (room 207 seemed the nicest right at the end of the balcony), because you’d only have a view of the street on the first floor. The parking situation is the biggest negative I can say. There are only 3 parking spaces behind the motel, and two cars can squeeze on the side of the building. Thankfully we had a spot for all 5 days of our stay, but I saw several other patrons have to walk to the office to ask “where do I park?” I still don’t have that answer. Another minor negative was the lobby. You have to walk down a block to the Rus Mar motel to check in. The lobby was none of the nice features of other motels. A tiny ice machine (think counter top nugget ice maker), no coffee, no nothing but a place to check in and out.

When we got there, the property was not cleaned at all. We had to wait to get The property was not ready when I got there. They did clean it. It was OK. Not the best

The hotel was filthy no parking no television working properly no shower curtain no wash clothes for 251 dollars this was terrible and I would like to be reimbursed I will never again stay there or ever again use Expedia

The room smelled bad and they don't give you towels, you go to get help and they don't come out to assist you

The room was so damp the floor was always wet, the sheets always felt damp including the clothes in my suitcase and this was with the AC on. Parking is terrible- there’s 3 spots that are hard to manuever even a small car, no ice machine. It was so bad that we left the night before checkout.

The best thing about the property is the location. It is very close to the beach and boardwalk, which makes it convenient for walking and enjoying the area. Unfortunately, the room was extremely small and did not feel clean, comfortable, or welcoming for a family. The layout was very uncomfortable—the sink is right next to the refrigerator and very close to the bed. Every time the toilet was used, we could hear the water and plumbing noises around the sink area. Parking was also a major problem. There are not enough spaces, so cars block each other, and you may have to find another guest or knock on doors just to get your vehicle out. For the price we paid, I expected much better cleanliness, comfort, and organization. I would not recommend this property for families.

N/A I arrived at the motel front office which smelled very bad around 2:30p and was not allowed to check into the room until 3p. After being made to wait, the room was still not ready at the 3pm check in and there were two immigrant females who only began to slowly clean as I stood there at the door and who would not respond to my questions in English. I went back to the front office where it smelled even worse and the front receptionist was disrespectful and very rude due to her embarrassment over the smell and the dirty room not already being cleaned and ready for my check in. The immigrant women reused bedding from another room to count as “clean linen items” for my reservation. The females used the same dirty rags to wipe several different surfaces including the floor and inside the refrigerator. They did not properly clean nor sanitize the bathroom or floors after hastily sweeping up an extreme amount of dog hair. There was still human and animal hair found all over the floor and room, including inside sinks and the refrigerator.
