The room was clean ac worked very well and really enjoyed the breakfast

The hotel was clean! The staff was very professional and helpful! However, the room looked very cheaply renovated. Lots of patched up spots in the ceiling. Bathroom door was several different colors of brown. The carpet needs to be cleaned or removed. There was a slight smell over near the bathroom/fridge/microwave area. The front door entrance absolutely annoying! You have to push the handicapped button or pull/push for it to open instead of having sensors. When you have a lot in your hands what are you to do? The next door slides and has the motion detection, so I have no complaints about that door. The refrigerator went down. My husband went to the front desk about it and found that we weren't alone! There were 8 other rooms having the same issue. Breakfast was decent, could use a bit more variety. When checking out this morning, the lady checking us out, whom I assume is family to the owner, asked me how was my stay. I told her it was okay. In my opinion, her next question should have been, "what could we have done better?" She just said, "have a good day!"

    Clean room

  • Engine customer Jun 2026

The staff was very helpful and the cleaning lady who was assigned to our room was friendly and did a good job of cleaning our bathroom every day and replenishing our towels. We were concerned, though, that there was no non-slip mat in the bathtub. Additionally, we were disappointed to find that the white socks we wore in the room were black dirty after wearing them for the three nights we were in the room. So we suspect the dark colored carpet in the room was in need of cleaning. The breakfast was very disappointing, however. The quality of the cooked items was very low, the "pure orange juice" was not pure; but was watered down. The very first morning we went to breakfast, I discovered a black, curly hair in my cereal; and that took away my appetite for the rest of our stay. And I was not able to eat anymore breakfasts in the hotel. The air conditioning was fine. Colder than we like it when we arrived, but we were able to set it to our comfort level. However, there was a dripping noise happening throughout the night. Overall, we believe the hotel is overpriced.

Location and free parking Front staff was not friendly, limited breakfast, bitter coffee and no sweetened creamer; shower had low water pressure; price

It was fine for a basic overnight. Bathroom was not deep cleaned, had dust and dirt and something caked on outside of shower. Pool was nice, but had to beg for towels. The reservation was done as "pay at the property," but staff charged the wrong card the morning well before check in and got upset when they had to fix the wrong charge. Both night check in and day check out staff were unpleasant, more concerned with being right than in fixing their mistake. Insisted that "all hotels do this." Really, if they are not going to allow you to pay upon arrival, they should not offer it as an option when making reservation. Room was musty. Honestly, I have not had a good experience with any Wyndham properties in years and would have avoided this one if I could have.

I loved that the location was central to every activity that I wanted to do. Everything was within a 20 minute drive radius with most restaurants walking distance away. I literally walked across the street to get to Olive Gardens for dinner one night. I loved it!

It is located in the middle of Williamsburg. We have stayed at this property many times under its different names through the years. The beds and pillows are extremely comfortable and the rooms are very quiet because it is an older hotel that was made more sound proof back in the day. The breakfast use to have more choices. No yogurt or fresh berries or bagels. It is a free breakfast so that was ok we just ate out to give some business to local restaurants.

The hotel was close to the road with lots of restaurants in the area to choose from. They were an unpleasant smell as you enter the front doors. The breakfast was repetitive and not much choices. On the first morning of my stay, only white bread was available, but pleased to see wheat on the next few days of my stay. No yogurt was offered which I am accustomed to in other hotels.

Room was very spacious and clean, bed was super comfortable, and bathroom was good size as well. The front desk staff and housekeepers were all nice and helpful. The hotel was in a central location and walking distance to several restaurants. We were minutes from Captain Georges, The Aberdeen Barn, and the Outlets. Some more seating in the breakfast area would have been nice, but it wasn't a deal breaker as the turnaround was quick so we didn't wait very long for a table.
