You can hear traffic and people into the late hours because you are right in the waterfront section. But we wanted to be in that area, so we didn't mind. Maybe a white noise machine is a good suggestion.

We were taken care of right as we pulled in! Mary was exceptional! She made everything easy and seem less. The court yard was very relaxing with perfected espresso martinis to close the night out in town❤️

Great stay! The location is excellent, very central and close to everything. The old house is beautiful and full of charm. Everything was great, and we really enjoyed our stay. Highly recommend!

The Americano I had was good. The photos online look much better than the actual room. We stayed in the Zermatt, the furnishings looked like they came from a thrift store, the sheets looked old & thin, the clear glass light fixtures were dusty, the small table in the bathroom was missing a leg, the shower didn't have an enclosure (presumably because it was ADA, but the floor was incredibly slippery when wet, and a piece of trim kept coming off in the bath; overall the room felt "tired". The outdoor cocktail area in the backyard was never loud, but we heard lots of noise through the wall from the coffee shop/cocktail bar.

Quick overnight stay was comfortable and clean; nice change from corporate/chain hotel.

The location was fantastic. Easy to walk around old Wilmington. The downstairs coffee shop/espresso bar was beautifully decorated. The outside personal firepits for cocktails was wonderful and we enjoyed our after-dinner drink there. While the downstairs was darling- it felt fresh, new and modern, our room did not feel it had been renovated in years. Lighting did not work in the main room. The sofa was uncomfortable. The TV was ridiculously huge for the space. No glassware in the "bar" area. The pillows were hard and we chose to sleep unfortunately without. It was very disappointing. We will be back in Wilmington in November for a wedding and hoped to stay here, we will not. If and when the rooms upstairs match the sophistication and comfort of downstairs, we will be back. I am not sure if we want to risk trying another room until then. We stayed in the Georgia O'Keefe.

The location cannot be beat. Once you park your car you are within walking distance of everything in the historic district of Wilmington and a close drive to the tour of the battleship. The riverwalk which has several very good restaurants is barely more than a block away. The building is historic but has been remodeled in quirky modern vibe which I really like. Our rooms were across the hall from each other but were completely different. The bed was large and very comfortable. My room, the Amsterdam, was very interesting in design but had several functional flaws. It is a ground floor room whose windows are visible from the street but the window coverings cannot provide privacy. They are drapes that are almost impossible to adjust and even if you can, they cannot cover the window. It is weird changing clothes, particularly at night, and not knowing if you are on view. Reading in bed is almost impossible. The bedside lights give very little illumination due to design and position on the wall, and ironically they cannot be turned off from the bed. There is no desk light at the only table in the room where you can set up your computer if you have one. The staff is very young and pleasant but seems oddly distributed at the facility. Ordering drinks was supposed to be done from a QR code that none of the three of us successfully could use and the server, while tolerant, stood around while we struggled before she finally told us she could take our order. Even the check in process was strange. There were 4 people at the valet park stand who told us where the entrance was, but once we were inside we were told that we had to go back out to the stand to get room assignments. None of the 4 employees who greeted us bothered to mention that. The lock codes for the rooms are set to the last 4 digits of your cell phone but mine didn't work, so we had to wait until all these people could find someone who could change it.

Great location. Beautiful large room and safe ice machine didn’t work

No microwave, electric stove in unit but no pots to utilize it to warm up food.

Cute themes in the rooms with nice decor. The attached espresso bar was convenient and nice. The two beds were very comfy and the inn is in a great location. It was quiet and easy to walk around. Very friendly staff. We would stay there again. The seating could be more comfortable in the living room and the extra futon bed was springy. Not easy climbing stairs with luggage and it was very bright inside at night and morning.

Nice room, good location close to downtown Wilmington. Good parking options. The staff was nice when I talked with them. It is a noisy location, given that the check-in stand was outside my window and the area has a cafe and and outdoor evening area. For a business trip, this was louder than in a regular hotel, however, for a vacation trip this would have been the perfect place.

We prefer to park our car and use our feet or public transportation when we visit other cities. The river view from our balcony was a perfect spot to relax after dinner and a great place to enjoy free coffee and baked goods from the farmer's market just a block away the next morning. The bed was very comfortable and we must have been really tired because we slept right through the occasional noisy traffic. We also liked the ease of parking on-site, the online check-in/out and the fresh coffee just steps away. But wait, there's more. Cold water in the refrigerator, fresh baked chocolate chip cookies and placed on the pillow mints were little touches that show the staff really appreciates their guests. Why should we comment about something we didn't like? We think some reviews are helpful but they also demonstrate a lot of people who only comment so they can show how hard or impossible it is to please them. The Front Street Inn isn't new, fancy or pretentious. People half to a third our age patronize The Concorde and the Inn. That's our sign we picked the right place to spend a couple of days.

Great character and we loved the attached martini bar.

We were told and emailed that we would have a first floor room, and then did not get it , the stairs were very difficult to carry all of our luggage.

Quaint and historic inn, the location was great and the decor was funky the room is in need of some repair, walls and bathroom have not been kept up and the floor was very squeaky

Charming. Warm and friendly staff. No one to check in

  • Engine customer Apr 2026

Great location, great vibes, great environment, fun activities. A historic property; generally well-maintained. The staff, throughout the property was exceptional- friendly, helpful, enthusiastic and efficient! The room we were in is probably up for remodeling. The historic room had a non-functioning whirlpool. It had two sinks but only one was operational. The TV reception lost connection several times. The room was otherwise well-appointed , roomy and comfortable.
