Hampton Inn by Hilton Wilmington Downtown

Absolutely the worst experience. Came down for breakfast at 7:30. An hour and a half after breakfast should have started. There were no coffee cups, juice dispenser was on and zero hot food at breakfast. Like it was never put out, not empty from other guests. When I asked the lady at the front desk for coffee cups and if they were bringing out any of hot food (literally everything), she said, “I have a concussion and I am trying to do nothing!” Another guest said good morning to her and she said nothing and walked away. We both looked at each other awkwardly. I left and went back to my food when I left to check out, she was sitting at the front desk eating the food she refused to put out for the guests. I will never stay here again.

Great stay

A special thank you for the breakfast it was absolutely delicious! Everything was fresh, tasty, and there was a great variety of food. We truly enjoyed our stay and would definitely recommend this hotel to others.

I didn't have the breakfast, because I was only there for one day. I didnt wake up I in time. This trip was just for to have a sisters day. The refrigerator, it didn't get the food or drinks barely cold.

I only stayed for 1 night but it was a very good experience. The many breakfast choices the next morning was terrific. The staff was exceptional.

Location is great if you want to go bar-hopping. Lots of restaurants/bars close by to walk to. Riverfront was close. Had to pay too much for valet parking. The other option was a parking garage across the street. Breakfast was adequate. Staff were very nice and helpful. Bed was a little too soft for me.

At check in the front desk personnel was very kind and professional, once we got to our room the floor wasn't vacuumed well, later that evening I noticed little rolls of toilet paper on the back of the toilet seat, there were strands of hair in the shower. I would give cleanliness of the room a 1, Breakfast was good, I would rate this stay a 3 because of the room, otherwise I would have given it a 5.

* Valet (May 25th): The valet guy working on May 25th was incredibly nice and helpful—he earned the hotel an extra star. (Unlike the one on May 24th, who couldn't care less). 1.Misleading info about the pool: I booked via Booking.com specifically for the indoor pool. There was no notification online that it was closed; I only found out at check-in. Free parking compensation didn't make up for it. 2.No housekeeping: We stayed for 2 nights, but trash was never emptied, and towels were never changed. 3.Unhelpful staff: On May 25th, we asked the front desk to refill the empty shower gel. They promised to send someone but never did. 4. Breakfast fail: They offered cereal and muesli for breakfast, but no milk was provided on either day. 5. Room condition & Water: The bathroom ventilation didn't work, the carpet was very dirty, and the water provided for tea/coffee in lobby had a very unpleasant smell.

The lady at the desk and the young man doing the valet parking were incredibly pleasant and helpful. The breakfast was good. My room was very clean. Overall it was very positive experience! ☺️

The staff in the hotel were very attentive and helpful! They woman that prepared the breakfast were so nice my wife enjoyed there wa temperament! The room was nice although the Central A/C system was extremely noisy! Also my vieiw was of the wall of the adjacent building which wasnt very flattering! Overall I would stay again!

Stay was great but parking is the reason I gave a 4 star instead of 5.

Nice room, clean environment, great location Roll up blind in room did not work so could not get sunlight or natural light in the room.

Staff was amazing , the valet parking was perfection, the room was great just a few minor fixes needed looked like water leak.

Breakfast good. Thank you for the gluten free items.

The air conditioning sounded like a motorcycle was driving through our room every time it came on. Awful!!!!
