The location is just a short walk from Old Town Winchester with access to restaurants, cafes and museums. Highly recommend this hotel - you won't be disappointed.
-
We selected this hotel as an overnight stop on our way home to the Northeast. Our needs were simple - clean room, comfy beds, hot water for showers, a walkable location for dinner, and quick breakfast in the morning. The building that houses this hotel is old, and it doesn't seem that the management company has done very much to upgrade the facilities. The overall look and feel of the lobby and hallways was "tired", the bathroom did not have a fan, there was hair in the tub, and because it was Sunday we had only one available restaurant for dinner since most places were closed. (The restaurant list that they gave us at check-in is out of date.) We were not impressed, and would definitely look elsewhere if we ever are in the area again.

Very charming historic hotel. Close to very nice restaurants and tourist District.

The George Washington Hotel was amazing! Our room was immaculate, the beds were fabulous, bathroom and all amenities exactly what we needed. Every person that we encountered was helpful, friendly and very kind. The hotel clearly pays attention to the smallest of details to make sure that your stay is perfect. We definitely hope to return! We recommend this hotel 100%!

Grand old hotel. Takes you back 100 years. Staff was very attentive. Hotel was very clean and the price was very reasonable would definitely stay again if we’re in Winchester.

This was the neatest place I've stayed at. The building is gorgeous and they've kept the historic aspects of it very nice. Beds were very comfortable. Shower was hot and had good pressure. Staff was all very friendly. There's a nice pub with live music right next door. Lots to do and see in this town. I was very pleased we picked this spot as a halfway point to our destination

Beautiful building located in the heart of the historic district. The rooms were well-appointed, with comfortable bedding/pillows, a fireplace, and a multi-jet shower and jacuzzi tub where we stayed. There was a very good musical act performing in the hotel bar when we checked in Friday night and the atmosphere seemed lively. Would definitely recommend for a weekend getaway!

Everything was perfect
-
The room was very clean and incredibly quiet. Best aspect though it is two blocks from Violinist restaurant and the walking mall.

Fabulous stay!
-
Enjoyed the stay here for a weekend exploring the Shenandoah Valley.
-
Very historical feeling, but also very elegant and updated and comfortable. Fantastic bed. Stylish lighting and accessories good. Shower was fancy. Pool was unique with statue and columns. Weight room had free weights. Breakfast was not free, but the town is fantastic for finding food options. Walking shop strip district 2 blocks away very worth a visit. Excellent experience.
-
Historic hotel in a convenient area.
-
Bartender in the lounge seemed to be a nice guy....engaging and polite. The Hotel has a good location to many food options. The front desk staff seemed preoccupied and I felt as if I was intruding the three times I stopped by; at check in, to drop off the parking pass and upon check out....Staff multi tasking while at their "station" does not give the guest a warm and fuzzy welcome. They need to be coached on their customer service and socialization skills.
-
Clean, good location, covered parking. Food from room service(pizza Uno restaurant) was average, served in a paper take out box with very dry chicken. Would have expected better for price of the dinner.
