Holiday Inn Windsor Wine Country by IHG

The pool was dirty and cold. The Bar not opened as shown in hotel amenities. And the restaurant was only open for breakfast, which was a poor quality.

At least the parking was free, close to some stores, and easy access to/frome the freeway. Not used to paying San Francisco hotel prices this far north of the city.

Sushi restaurant across the street absolutely dynamite

The second night, which was 2 days later, there was no WiFi and the front desk person (same person) said, "We're working on it." Then we requested 2 glasses and wine key so we could open a bottle of wine. The front desk staff stared in a drawer and said he would bring it up if he could find it. I asked if it was always there and he said yes. There was no plan to search further. We went to the dollar store and bought a wine opener and 2 glasses, which we left with the young woman at the front desk the next morning. My husband suggested taking a $5 deposit so the wine openers don't disappear. That same front desk person was very helpful when we asked if we could leave a box and pick it up later even though we checked out. We appreciated her very much.

Unfortunately there is NO Bar and NO restaurant even though the front of the building says so as does the website and Expedia listing. Quiet, comfy bed and great location. No bad, jus a little false advertising
