The only thing to do is to walk down by the lake and sit, or you can go to pool, the room was clean, and pet friendly, didn't see no staff while I was there, they did tell me if I needed anything to call, quiet area

My wife and her sister stayed the first night which was fine, so I booked a second night ,the breakfast are free but you have to paid a 50.00 to use the utensils nonrefundable so breakfast isn't free however please take note that you are responsible for washing the dishware that you have chosen to use ,A 50.00 housekeeping fee will be charged for the extra service of washing the used dishware ,then we had to get towels for the pool they gave us hand towels to dry off with and told us if they are stained with anything we will be charged 75.00 for replacement of them and cleaning ,the hole place needs to be remodeled everything was so old and not taken care of ,we were wondering why we were the only ones staying there.It also said that we could have four people in our room but when I got there they charged me another 25.00 for me being there.so in reality we will never book a room there again I would rather sleep in my car before we go there .

Beautiful property!!! I don't like how short my toilet was or the tub it's like for a little kid!!!! The tvs can be updated we had two rooms it's really nice just need a few upgrades the owners are so sweet and nice also the curtains were see through and the blinds we had to manually close but definitely will be back !

The plug on the a/c was loose so we had to wedge a shoe with the cord so it would stay on. The hotel was really nice overall. The outside was beautiful at night. I do recommend staying there.

You expect quaint. You get unsafe, unsanitary and rudeness. You realize from the check-in through a tiny gated slot that this is not going well. You climb the rickety stairs up and follow the uneven hallway down to the room and use your old fashioned door key to enter. Inside the room is extremely outdated, mismatched, and smells of old Chinese food. The sheets are stained. There is no AC in the Florida summer. There are wire hangars in the open closets. It feels depressing, dank and eerie like you are in a horror movie or a made for tv movie drama about a single mom escaping an abusive husband down on her luck who has to stay here just to hide herself and her children. We immediately returned to the check-in slot to request a refund and were denied. We had paid $500 for two nights at this disastrous place and both the property and Expedia refused to correct this travesty. I forgot to mention they charged extra beyond what Expedia had already charged at the check-in. Lesson learned: don't trust any photos on Expedia, only other travelers' reviews. I should have relied more heavily on those but I was drawn in by the romance of a vintage hotel on the lake. Instead if you want to enjoy Florida lake life (although who really does now with all the alligators in the news?!) stay at the nearby Best Western Plus.
