DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel Chicago Wood Dale - Elk Grove

Dusty room. While showering water did seeped through to the bathrooms floor even dough shower door was closed wetting my floor towel. Good AC. Good paid breakfast. Be aware that if you pay for breakfast on line get the ticket at the front desk and place it over the table so the breakfast waiter can grab it. Because if you don’t within 2 minutes after you seat down he literally will come to your face and say “HOW’RE GONNA PAY FOR THIS BREAKFAST SIR? I said “it’s already paid off. I paid for it online. I said. And he explained to me how it works. He said “if it’s paid off I need to see the ticket”. I said RIGHT NOW? He said YES. So I had to stop with my breakfast and go to the front desk to get the ticket. Second day same thing. Had the breakfast ticket in one of my pockets. Forgot to place it on the table and this waitress pored me some coffee and asked me the question. HOW’RE GONNA PAY FOR THIS BREAKFAST? I said. I have the ticket in my pocket and I’m going to place it on the table when I’m done eating. She said NO. YOU HAVE TO PRESENT IT TO ME NOW. I said “YOU ARE GONNA MAKE ME TOP EATING BECAUSE OF A TICKET? She said yes. So now I’m standing up trying to find this ticket in my pockets which contained a million items I felt. Front desk stuff was friendly. I came to this guy at the front desk and I said, hey man. I have a small complaint. Even though my towels look clean they smell like Indian spices. He didn’t know what to say to me. So i said. Ok have a good one.

Outdated facility. Room door needed to be pushed and pulled into the jam. Appears to need maintenance.

There were pubic hair on the ceiling of our bathroom when brought to the attention of the staff they made jokes and said there was nothing they could do.

Room was very spacious. Clean. I LOVED the shower. The water pressure was amazing. I still love the hotels that have an actual tub with the shower. I feel like it helps with water spillage. The property was under some kind of construction so some views were less than scenic. Ice machine was broken on our floor. Had to search around the Inception-like hallways to find another. One building has 3 floors while another part of the hotel has 2 which can be confusing. Only one elevator. No cookies when you check in. Front desk staff was nice at check-in. Checkout the next morning no one was there. Like I said before, the hotel is under construction so I get it.

Room was somewhat cleaned but found trash behind the TV stand and some behind the bed. But all the room was clean

The employees made our stay! They were very hospitable and always made us feel welcome to their hotel! I would definitely stay there again; while visiting family!!

There was no tissue paper, and only one package of coffee was provided for two people staying in the room.

Washroom sink backed up, the showers were dirty, the floors and doors had water stains, the AC unit did not have a working thermostat, either blasting on at 68 degrees, or off. I understand the hotel was under re-construction, however what we paid for WAS not a hotel in bad condition, I would have rather paid full price at a different hotel, or would rather that they close this hotel until after construction. We were not satisfied at all, everything went terribly since we checked in, staff was rude, just a terrible overall experience. We will not be coming back.

The main lobby was very nice. My room missing soap for the shower, dirty towels, light not working. Rm 103

It's an old hotel. Smells musty. Staff tries to be helpful.
