DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel Chicago Wood Dale - Elk Grove

The building was under construction during my stay limiting my optimal experience!

The hotel was very old and just worn out. Bed mattress was worn and you could feel the springs. The hotel needed to be renovated. Not what I was expecting from a Hilton hotel.

There was some bugs in the room both dead and alive we had to clean up but other then that it was great

The rooms are outdated and not clean.

Rooms are always so clean and peaceful. I love staying at this hotel when in town for work!!! Staff are really freindly and helpful.

Could use some updating

Hotel was being remodeled. Room was only house kept once during our stay. Room had a humid smell. We had some ants in our room. Restroom had some mold spots.

Our room was spacious. But bathroom needs some TLC.

The staff was terrific . . . very friendly, knowledgeable, welcoming. Unfortunately mechanical things were non-functional . . . for example, the TV in the room did not function properly and the remote did not work at all; the radio was non-functioning, and there was one ice machine for the whole 3-floor facility that was not functioning. (the person behind the desk was kind enough to get me some ice from the kitchen.

Great friendly staff that honors membership. Hotel was clean and quiet.

Staff was great but this property needs major attention. I’ve been in a lot of Doubletrees that are awesome, but this is not one of them. Corporate / management needs to get their act together.

The property itself is weird though. It feels like it's an old building. There is only one elevator and it was broken and kind of sketchy looking. The bathroom toilet was rocking and uneven and all the caulking looked very dirty. The breakfast was an upcharge but actually looked worse than most free hotel breakfasts. For the price it was maybe worth it but probably not somewhere I'd look to stay again.

Staff was very helpful. Rooms were a bit dated and the bathroom needed some work. Toilet was loose and carpet was stained. Curtains needed to be replaced.

Dusty room. While showering water did seeped through to the bathrooms floor even dough shower door was closed wetting my floor towel. Good AC. Good paid breakfast. Be aware that if you pay for breakfast on line get the ticket at the front desk and place it over the table so the breakfast waiter can grab it. Because if you don’t within 2 minutes after you seat down he literally will come to your face and say “HOW’RE GONNA PAY FOR THIS BREAKFAST SIR? I said “it’s already paid off. I paid for it online. I said. And he explained to me how it works. He said “if it’s paid off I need to see the ticket”. I said RIGHT NOW? He said YES. So I had to stop with my breakfast and go to the front desk to get the ticket. Second day same thing. Had the breakfast ticket in one of my pockets. Forgot to place it on the table and this waitress pored me some coffee and asked me the question. HOW’RE GONNA PAY FOR THIS BREAKFAST? I said. I have the ticket in my pocket and I’m going to place it on the table when I’m done eating. She said NO. YOU HAVE TO PRESENT IT TO ME NOW. I said “YOU ARE GONNA MAKE ME TOP EATING BECAUSE OF A TICKET? She said yes. So now I’m standing up trying to find this ticket in my pockets which contained a million items I felt. Front desk stuff was friendly. I came to this guy at the front desk and I said, hey man. I have a small complaint. Even though my towels look clean they smell like Indian spices. He didn’t know what to say to me. So i said. Ok have a good one.

Very nice and smelled amazing

Outdated facility. Room door needed to be pushed and pulled into the jam. Appears to need maintenance.

There were pubic hair on the ceiling of our bathroom when brought to the attention of the staff they made jokes and said there was nothing they could do.
