Courtyard by Marriott Los Angeles Woodland Hills

I have never felt so unwelcome at a hotel before. The check in was impersonal and I got the feeling that I wasn't welcome from the very first moment I got there. The room was fine but small. Despite reserving the room for four people they only gave us three towels. The pool was nice but there were no towels available, we had to bring our own beach towels down to the pool. The entire property smelled of marijuana the entire time we were there. The elevators were small, loud, and jerked when moving. We were afraid of getting trapped and decided to use the stairs the entire time. Thankfully the rooms were quiet and there weren't a lot of other guests there. I don't feel this pretty was worth what we paid for it, especially after being charged another $75 in fees, taxes, and parking after paying for our stay at the time of booking. All told we paid just shy of $300 for one night and I wish we had chosen to stay elsewhere.

Nice hotel, nice setting. Everything just fine except that the room card generator was down for the duration of my overnight stay, so had to have the staff personally come to my room for me to enter it, both at the start of the stay and each time I left the room.

Hotel seemed to be recently renovated, so the carpet was in great condition and the room was very comfortable. AC was strong too (a must for this area during the summertime). The area is very convenient, with a Trader Joe’s right outside the hotel and several grocery stores (Target, Sprouts, Whole Foods) within walking distance or a very short drive. The area surrounding the hotel felt clean and safe. Would highly recommend to anyone looking for a comfortable stay at a reasonable price!

I was there for pre /post op at nearby hospital - the staff went out of their way to make sure I had a few extras I asked for in my room ahead of time. Thank you for a great stay and hospitality in every staff encounter I had!

Excellent customer service

I was supposed to get a suite to accommodate up to 6 people, I got a room with 2 queen beds I brought the concern to the manager in charge he just didn’t care about it so terrible hotel terrible customer service

I wanted more of a dining experience. There was an odd smell in my room. I noticed the last day it may have been coming from AC unit.

Had a good stay at this property. It is conveniently located with stores and restaurants nearby. The room was clean and comfortable. My son loved the pool. We would definitely stay there again. The only drawbacks are that there is a nightly charge for parking (separate fees for the hotel and for the city) which really adds to the overall cost to stay there, breakfast is not included and there were a huge number of dead bugs floating in the pool. My son didn't mind the bugs but it was a full time job keeping them away from me while swimming. Otherwise it is a nice place to stay, so long as you add to the cost parking and breakfast.

most of the staff was very helpful and knowledgeable. There is a bus stop right there and very good food within a couple blocks to walk easy.
