Clean room nice staff nice hottub

We booked this hotel for its beautiful pool view. We were devastated to see that the pool was dirty and full of debris from nearby trees. Walking up to the gated area we had to watch our step; there were puddles everywhere. The gym area has four different pieces of equipment. We also received a notice that the water was going to be interrupted. We do not plan to stay at this hotel again.

Transitioning into a Marriott so realtively speaking, the hotel suited my needs for the one night stay

I actually slept like a baby here. Since it is older the sound is held outside the room. I did use the pool. It was a tad dirty but did the job to cool me off. Yes place is older but worth the value. Soon to be a Marriot.

There was no trash can in the room. I had to go get one. No ice bucket in the room. I had to go get one. Then black stuff was coming out on the ice. There was pullers off the ceiling with tubes and insulation coming out, tons of carpet stains everywhere, stains on our bottom sheets, no tissues in the room, a balcony that was bottom floor that did not lock, filthy pool, hot tub drained with yellow tape halfway around it, a stopped up sink where you wash your hands after using the restroom. They are renovating and didn't mention any of that to me when I called to ask about my kids going swimming and to the hot tub. Oh also there was a trash can in the middle of the hallway filled with water. Just sitting there for the whole weekend. No free breakfast. It was really a horrible experience to be honest. I feel I should get a refund or some kind of compensation.

The bed frame had a metal sticking out that shouldn't be there. Hitting with your leg shin is not a good way to find out about it. Room air conditioning good Hot tub spa was out of service Pool was dirty water cloudy and not well maintained. The staff was very helpfull.

However, you prefer your accommodations without those particular amenities, I would strongly suggest running in the opposite direction. Period. The one shining light in this experience was the front desk clerk. He was absolutely amazing kind, helpful, knowledgeable, attentive, and completely on top of everything. His customer service was exceptional, and frankly, he is far too good to be working at a property in this condition. He deserves five stars. Unfortunately, the hotel does not. We did not complete our stay and stayed elsewhere.

The toilet in that room would not flush, so we went back to check in and asked for a second room. The air conditioner in the second room was so loud we would never have been able to sleep. We were then moved to a third room. The TV did not work, and the replacement remote they gave us was not for that specific TV so I could not watch my program. The plug for the hair dryer did not work either. After a long day of travel, this was a nightmare.

Unfortunately, this place has run down and used and abused, and not properly maintained. Wallpaper was filling off the walls holes in the wall carpets dirty, and filthy ice. Machines didn’t work on any of the floors. Everything was outdated. It seemed like there was still logos and advertisements from the prior owners or company who managed it very rundown. I would never stay there again. This is just being honest.

Affordable, clean and comfortable,

I used to stay at the Shilo Inn when in Yuma, which has now become the Yuma Inn and Suites. I was in room 144. The air conditioner was unusually loud and at times woke me up; the carpet was in terrible shape; the doors on the first floor (middle entrance to parking lot) were inoperable and would not open from the inside or the outside (fire escape hazard); the outside door by my room did not close properly (did not need a key to enter the building); none of the ice machines on any floor worked. On the plus side, Maria at the front desk was exceptionally accommodating. It was relatively quiet at the hotel. Restaurants were located nearby.

My mother passed away suddenly so we had to drive 12 hours to Arizona. I booked this hotel because it looked nice in the photos online and was pet friendly, which we needed. This place looks absolutely NOTHING LIKE THE PHOTOS ONLINE. When we arrived, we weren’t even sure if we were at the right place because it looked abandoned! Our room was disgusting. There were stains all over the carpet, the security latch on the door was busted off, and there were large red stains on the bed skirt that looked like blood. There was a large dead cockroach behind the drapes, a baby one in the bathroom, and one in the hallway near our door. The hotel hallways were dark and musty and the air conditioner in our room barely worked. It left the room humid and about 75°. Staff is minimal. There were a couple nice ones but the lady at check in was not friendly at all. At check in they asked for a credit card for incidentals. I was specifically told nothing would be charged to my card. I should have checked my account before we left because they charged $165 to my card. When I called to complain and find out what those charges were, I was informed it was for pet fees which they failed to collect at check in. I explained to him that I was told I would not have any charges on my card. His response was they would reverse the charges if I wanted to go in and pay cash. I was already 10 hours away from the hotel. The absolute worst hotel I have ever stayed in. You’d be wise to avoid it at all costs!

The room I was originally assigned did not have working AC and was moved to another room nearby, which was nice but that room also did not have a functioning AC. The staff was very helpful and understanding and gave me a full refund, but 2 room not having working AC in the Yuma is wild!
