- A Texans home game barely moves hotel prices. Book a game weekend like any other. The night before a Texans home game, hotels within 10 miles of NRG Stadium averaged $199, against $196 on a normal night of the same weekday. That is +4%, rank 22 of 32 NFL markets; the league-wide figure is +11%.
- The biggest night before a game was the Jaguars visit on Nov 9: $250, +28% above normal. The biggest night of a game was the Buccaneers game on Sep 15: $242, +16%.
- Arriving on a Sunday for a Monday meeting? The night of a Sunday Texans game ran −1% vs. a normal Sunday, about −$2 for the room.

A normal nightEach game night is compared with the median of the same weekday on non-game weeks within four weeks. Thanksgiving week, Christmas week, nights with a college game at the stadium and nights with fewer than 300 prices never count as normal.
