Hotel Albuquerque at Old Town

Such a charming and beautiful hotel in Albuquerque. Parking was super convenient and the hotel is a short walk to old town Albuquerque. I thought it was weird that this hotel shares a pool with next-door hotel Chaco. Would definitely stay here again if traveling to Albuquerque.

Clean and great location

The Hotel Albuquerque is beautiful. I recommend taking the time to walk around and enjoy the beauty of the grounds. Gardunos was wonderful. It was awesome to have a delicious taste of the cuisine in New Mexico without having to leave the area. I look forward to my next trip in Albuquerque staying this wonderful Hotel.

I would stay again if back in Albuquerque. Walking distance to Old Town and restaurants.

We stayed in a junior sweet all the way on the very top 11th floor that overlooked the city. It has a balcony that makes the view breathtaking. The king bed was very comfortable. Gardunos restaurant is in this hotel and is hands down one of the best restaurants in Albuquerque. We truly enjoyed our stay

This place always rocks

The hotel had trollies to assist with moving items into the hotel. The handicap door assist did not work but that would be helpful. I stayed on the 3rd floor near the roof with a balcony. I had a courtyard view and mountain view. The fridge was too small for my needs as I had groceries to keep but they assisted with a dorm fridge. The bed was lovely, comfy. I would have preferred a deep tub over the shower. Waking up to the sunrise and windows was great. Good coffee in room. The pool was lovely. The hot tub was warm but crowded. I would like a more spacious hot tub at hotels for adults. The pool was a little cold. The view from 5L was beautiful. I wish I had got brunch there. The mountains were so pretty. One of the top views in the city. The grounds were great. I loved the water features. I loved the covered trellis, terrace, pergola, brick. The lobby was well decorated. The hotel is in a good location. I felt safe on the property. I stayed 2 nights. I would return. I would visit another heritage hotel. The chain hotels are bland, unkept, and disappointing in comparison. This hotel had character and southwest charm. When you visit NM you want to feel like you are in NM not any hotel in the country. The clientele was nice. The staff was helpful. The only thing is in winter I would want an indoor hot tub and heated pool. I would also add more southwest plants, grasses, and flowers. It is a real challenge to grow plants in the unforgiving scorching heat though.

Staff were helpful right from the beginning with making the reservations and special needs of a friend needing her oxygen being able to be plugged in at the event we were attending in the evening. The room was big and clean in the bathroom was as well. Staff was very helpful when I needed some different creamers than what we're provided in the refrigerator. They were getting thick and probably bad. Which is understandable if they're not looked at frequently. The flamenco performance was wonderful and full of energy. The pool area was spacious and had a bar outside. We did not swim because it was a bit late when the performance was complete. The parking was excellent. So nice to be able to park near the hotel without having to pay for parking or walk far from a parking garage. The grounds are absolutely breathtaking and beautiful. It's towards the end of summer so most of the pots had a lot of color with the annual flowers but the orange and vibrant trumpet Vine flowers were beautiful still. What a wonderful place it would be to hold wedding events and conventions and family reunions! It's the best place to be near Old Town and we could just walk a short distance to all of the shops and wonderful place to go at church Cafe for food! Everything was wonderful. If I had an issue what was taken care of right away and it wasn't a big issue. Not sure how all of the rooms are but the switch when we walked in did not control any of the lights and it apparently controlled the switch my friend was using for her oxygen to charge and phone. Somehow that needs to get worked out and marked or the switch should just be kept on so the outlet works all the time.

Our room was comfortable and quiet, the property was exceptionally well maintained, and every staff member we encountered was friendly and helpful. We especially enjoyed the courtyard and the relaxed Southwestern atmosphere throughout the hotel. What really stood out was how the hotel manages to feel upscale without feeling stuffy. It has a sense of place—you actually feel like you’re staying in New Mexico rather than in a generic hotel that could be anywhere. We would absolutely stay here again. Five stars and highly recommended for anyone visiting Albuquerque.
